I don't really see where he is being a hypocrite. Now I do know that most republicans would most likely not for for him if they found out he is gay . Wanting a secure border and being gay however are 2 totally different things. As far as I know he want to keep out all illegals not just the gay ones.

Romney is pretty desperate right now. He probably wouldn't care if this guy is a gay serial killer as long as he could help his campaign in some way. He is a sheriff whose sexuality has nothing to do with anything. Sheriffs should not be forcing someone to be silent and making threats. Take his badge.

I really don't care who sleeps with whom. What I find wrong is the threats made to Jose in order to silence him from speaking publicly about the alleged affair.

Just because you are gay doesn't prevent someone from supporting the republican party. To many gays the idea of marriage isn't even on their radar.

Being gay doesn't mean you don't care about other things like illegal alien problem or the President's reckless spending. People even gay people can balance a check book.

Well he answered that in the article. He was quitting to deal with these personal problems. The other unsaid thing was that 'some' people would try and make this a campaign issue, which personally I don't believe it is.

Well, I kinda agree. I dont care if a candidate is gay/straight but if he is gay and bashes gays, then I dont agree.

1) Babeu admitted that he was gay only after the allegations
2) He was on Mitt Romney's Arizona committee and is campaigning on a GOP platform for Arizona congress
3) Babeu was campaigning on a platform that believes that homosexuality is a sin and gays should not get married
