Another Lie Exposed… It Wasn’t Bush’s War For Oil That Bankrupted America, It Was Democrats
So will the state-run media ever report this news?
It wasn’t Bush’s War for Oil that bankrupted America. It was democrats.
American Thinker reported:
The Iraq War cost $709 billion. Why Carville, Bilmes, and
Nobel-winning economist Stiglitz thought the answer was $3 trillion is
anybody’s guess. But what’s a 323% error among friends? The CBO breaks that cost down over the eight calendar years of
2003-2010. Below is a picture of federal deficits over those years with
and without Iraq War spending.…Do you see alarming deficits or trends from 2003 through 2007 in the
above chart? No. In fact, the trend through 2007 is shrinking deficits.
What you see is a significant upward tick in 2008, and then an
explosion in 2009. Now, what might have happened between 2007 and 2008,
and then 2009?Democrats taking over both houses of Congress, and then the
presidency, was what happened. Republicans wrote the budgets for the
fiscal years through 2007. Congressional Democrats wrote the budgets for
FY 2008 and on. When the Democrats also took over the White House, they
immediately passed an $814-billion “stimulus.”

Spending has been out of control. Spending under the Bush Administration was unprecedented and under the Obama administration it has been taken to a new level. If the bailout and stimulus money are higher in cost than the wars so far, it doesn't decrease the significance of the effects of the war spending on the economy.
On the chart that I referenced, which is also from the Congressional Budget Office, Notice how the Bush deficit was higher than for any President before him. If people are really concerned about the out of control spending, maybe they should vote for Ron Paul or a Ron Paul Republican, if one runs for President in 2012. Here is a copy of the chart:

1/3 of the stimulus act was tax cuts (the LEAST stimulative thing the government can do for the economy; nearly ALL economists today acknowledge that had the spending in the stimulus bill been HIGHER, then we'd have likely seen a quicker recovery).
You're the exact kind of fool the Bush Administration played to with the refund checks. Sure, everyone KNOW they got a tax refund because they got the check. But stats show that people typically put such checks into the bank rather than into the economy. Obama, instead, provided for smaller cuts to your WEEKLY income tax, providing people with a little more money each week/month that stats conversely show they typically spent immediately. It's not a sexy political tactic (because, obviously, people like you who aren't paying attention don't think the government gave them a refund), but it's a smart actually-try-to-fix-the-problem tactic designed to help the economy, not help make the president more popular.
Okay, don't look at THIS fact either.
Are they too busy getting their toenails done?
Thanks Andi.
Thank you Andi for clarifying what we have already known all along......But believe it or not unless you hit someone over the head with this information some people will not listen........I do continue to pray God unblind the people that they may see the truth....
