There is another false story on SH today. This one claims the Democrats killed the bill that would have eliminated tax breaks for companies that outsource American jobs. That is completely false. To bring it to a vote, the Democrats needed 60 votes. Republicans voted against bringing it to a vote. Republicans blocked the bill. As Bloomberg reports:

The Senate blocked a Democratic tax proposal designed to make it more difficult for companies to move jobs out of the country and easier to bring jobs to the U.S.

The 56-42 vote today, with 60 needed to advance the measure, was largely along party lines as most Republicans voted not to allow Senate consideration.

I hate false stories!

Yes, I read about the most recent Republican obstruction. Apparently they believe it is just fine for tax payers pick up the tab for companies choosing to relocate to China. Americans out of work get the privilege of paying the moving costs.

No I am not surprised because Mitch McConnell told his party they would not take up any new legislation until after the election in November. So... if they are not working, why are they being paid $174,000 a year ??
