She is really creating the problem herself. She has been condescending and dismissive of the majority of people in this country by calling us "you people" and saying "this is so hard."
You know what's hard, Ann? Having two children, waking them at 6am to get ready to go to daycare, dropping them off, catching the train, working til 5pm, catching the train home, picking up the kids, getting home, cooking supper, playing with kids or helping them with their homework, bathing them, getting them to bed and then falling asleep from sheer exhaustion. Then do it four more times a week.
Most of us can't look forward to the weekend at one of our many vacation homes. We have to shop for food, clean the house, do the laundry, take kids to sports, dance class etc. Then tell me what's so "hard" about her life. She should keep her mouth shut if she has nothing good to say.

I think I agree with Ari Melber most. He said Ann is "standing by her man," and that's what family does during a campaign. I actually like her ability to shoot from the hip without fumbling around. I'll bet the nannies and chauffeurs sat up straight when she came in. :)

After Romney's incredibly stupid, cynical and condescending remarks about the 47%, it occured to me that Mitt'sin that exact group. He paid no federal "income" tax. He only paid taxes on capital gains thus the 13.1% he paid in 2011.. Ah, the irony. So, what would Mitt's mommy......I mean his "wifey" say?

He cannot manage his campaign, he cannot manage to open his mouth without inserting his foot. He took special precautions on this years tax return to make himself look as good as possible.

If he were president and constantly screwing up, because it is more intense then a campaign, I do not want to here his wife whining about how hard it is. Work normally is hard and that is why they call it work.

Boo Hoo!!! If the supporters weren't so vicious in their namecalling, perhaps she wouldn't have to worry about it. The 47% of Americans that her spouse was grumping about, weren't born with silver spoon and didn't have the advantages she had. poor, poor Ann!

They were unaware of that, of course, even though they hired the handler of the horse, and chose to sell him when he was no longer profitable. Mitt has mentioned how 'obsessed' his wife is with horses, and chuckled........
Must be kind of like that "blind trust" thingy, where you just don't really know where your millions are, or if you're paying taxes on them.

IKR. Why do some people think he's so great? And I wonder is when they say how charitable he is, whether it's money to an actual charity or if it's his tithing to the Mormon Church. If so that's a whole different thing.
  • DANNY59 Tarheel 2012/09/22 23:19:43

I don't get why some people are so into this guy. I wouldn't be surprised if it is his tithing to the church. The Mormon church is super rich. Lets keep our fingers crossed that he's not living in the White House anytime soon.
  • Tarheel DANNY59 2012/09/22 23:53:50
    Tarheel
I know he does tithe to his church because that's expected of him and he was like a bishop or something. As a Christian I have a big problem with him being a Mormon. Not that I think that people who are Mormons are evil or anything but I think they believe in a false religion that could ultimately cause problems. Yeah, I don't get it either.

"Oh. This is so hard. Running for president is hard. You people, with your tiny little lives, have no idea how hard. So why do you keep picking on us?"

    uh huh.

If you think the application process is difficult, Ann, you are not ready for the job of First Lady. And your husband, who opens his mouth only to change feet, is not ready for the presidency. But we knew that already.

It's ironic that the Romneys are complaining; Mitt and his ilk invented the YOYO philosophy (you're on your own). Now it's being you used against him. Poetic justice.

I don't like to attack the spouses of politicians, but she can bite me. I was on her side until she said, "And one thing that I, again, like to remind people is that — multiple sclerosis has been my teacher. It has been at times a cruel teacher. But it has also been a great gift in my life because of what it has done, it has taught me to be more compassionate and caring for others that are suffering."

My friend had a home that she had redone to accommodate her wheelchair for MS. Then she lost her job. Then she ran through her savings because her illness is so expensive when you don't have tons of money and access to the best health care that Ann does. Then, she lost her home. Now she lives in an apartment and has to lean on her daughter for help.

    MS wasn't a f*cking "GIFT" to her.

Think before you speak, Ann. You are just as oblivious to your privilege as your insufferable husband is.

I was just thinking about how I have survived six strokes, cancer, and many other things in my 53 years. I live in a row home - three stories plus a basement - which I can barely navigate. I could use a stair lift to help me up and down the stairs. I'll never have it. I can walk. I can talk. I can feed myself... I can't do a lot that I could 4 years ago. Plus, my medical bills are outrageous and we just found out that we won't be offered as good a medical plan when open enrollment come up in a few weeks. Ann Romney probably thinks her poop doesn't stink and makes Willard sniff it to assure her that it doesn't. Ann and Willard can KMA.

Nyah. I am just the average US citizen who knows what it means to struggle. When we fail to understand that there are many worse off and more needy, we lose ourselves. When we fail to desire as a society to help others achieve their potential, we fail in our humanity.

I have a roof over my head, food on my table, love in my home, a family who loves me. Many do not have those things through no real fault of their own. Honestly, I do think that our tax dollars are not used as they should be. However, when we fail to take care of the "least" or weakest among us - no matter the reason, we fail, period.

Thank you, both, for you sweetness. Pass those hugs on in real life to those you love - just because. I've learned that each day is a gift and not a day goes by that several times I tell my husband and daughters that I love them. I refuse to leave this planet with regret. No one should. ; )

I only hope that Ann Romney takes a deeper look, at some point, and realizes that what she and Mitt were given was a real gift - and they are squandering it...
