IT was Reagan that killed the middle class and ultimately capitalism here in America. Reagan's gutted the middle class by sending manufacturing jobs overseas hoping to replace those good wage jobs with service oriented jobs which ultimately failed. Trickle down economics does not work and has never worked. Thank Ronnie for the mess we are in now.

Ronald Reagan rescued the economy from the WRETCHED failed
policies of Jimmy Carter. Fortunately, some of us remember those
years well! More people moved from the lower class to middle class
during Reagan's administration! Obama worse than Carter now

Before he was nominated, Reagan looked me right in the eyes and described how he would destroy any agency of the U.S. Government that stood in the way of his plans to "finance the emerging economies of the world" and "trickle down" the rewards and profits through the stock markets so that we could all retire early and work at less taxing jobs. The plans were already laid and written, assembled in Los Angeles by one of the largest law firms in the country, with correspondents in New York and Washington. The whole idea and all the plans tried to hide that basic motive of humans that was the very core of these plans, GREED. Those who made the plans arranged for their own capture of all the profits and access to all the capital of the nation for their personal use. Like an elephant under the living room carpet, they rearranged the furniture from time to time to hide the lump, until 2008 when it had grown so large the sofa would no longer disguise it for what it was, a huge and total failure for the nation and nothing but success for the "Top 2% Club" members.

Bill Clinton started that NAFTA and free trade crap.......Americas job market has been on the decline since the 70's......that's when we decided to giveup our manufacturing base and enter into a service oriented society....Well so did Hong Kong, so did Singapore...so did China, Taiwan, South Korea, India and Pakistan.....now we have very few jobs and every living thing we consume comes from overseas.....we give and sell them the technology while they use it against us.......Due to labor unions and OSHA and EPA rediculous regulations were imposed on our industries, forcing them overseas....How can we expect to have jobs when we don't make a damn thing?......We allowed our politicians to sell this country out........now we're reaping the benefits........We're broke and in debt up to our asses and no sight of ever recovering......

Nafta is North american free trade. Reagan opened free trade and placed policies that allowed our manufacturing jobs to go to China and other countries where labor is dirt cheap. to manufacture junk that the middle class buys at Walmart on credit from money we borrow from ..... you got it CHINA.

This crap started in the 70's........labor unions and rediculous environmental regulations is what killed jobs and is still killing jobs.EPA was needed at one time, so were labor unions, but they both got way too big and corrupt.....demanding huge wages and rediculous pensions that litterally broke companies......Jobs have been leaving for 40 years......and our politicians from BOTH parties sat back and allow it to happen......

How did Reagan forced companies to send “jobs overseas”?

Why can’t Obama fix our economy?

Perhaps, Obama is not spending enough money using “redistribution” from future generations:

He didn't have to force them to send jobs overseas, his free trade policies made it an attractive option which sent manufacturing overseas. This killed the middle class and made it so the middle class could no longer afford to pay for those products with cash, so they began paying with credit which gave a false sense of security which eventually came home to roost. We are now paying for Reagonomics with a depleted middle class and borrowing billions of dollars from the countries we outsourced out manufacturing to...China and Japan.

Actually you must be stoned. I'll even make it real simple for you:

Here's some interesting info concerning Obama deficits vs previous presidents:

Average yearly deficit (how much is added to the national debt per year)

    Reagan 190 Billion per year

Bush I 165 Billion per year

    Clinton 202 Billion per year

Bush II 543 Billion per year Total if combined 1.1 Trillion

    Now some seriously simple math……

    Under Obama…..

    Debt at inauguration 10.6 Trillion

After his first term the debt is now 16.5 Trillion

Average debt under Obama 1.5 Trillion per year

    Note:

Avoid fact checking sites because the majority lean liberal (i.e. Snopes)

Now if you would like to debate Obama's "accomplishments", let me know.

“He didn't have to force them to send jobs overseas, his free trade policies made it an attractive option which sent manufacturing overseas.”

What is wrong with freedom, as in “his free trade policies”?

It is part of the US Constitution to embrace and protect the Unalienable Rights of everyone. Our Unalienable Rights are “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

“Free trade” is an outgrowth of our Unalienable Rights from the interaction of humans between suppliers and buyers, exercising their Unalienable Rights to create and exchange wealth, becomes the manifestation of a free-market system within a civil society.

Understanding life’s Unalienable Rights through the prism of science will come to realize the Laws of Economics are part of the Laws of Nature, which humans cannot change:

You can't call it freedom when part of the free trade agreements made by Reagan included gutting collective bargaining and sending the tax cuts to the rich and saddling the middle class with the bill. Be it freedom or not, the President has to make decisions to protect it's people. Reagan did not do that, he sold out the American people by decimating the middle class. the backbone of America.

How did Reagan do that? Please backup your claims with references as I did.

Please review that youtube 10 part series on “Free to Choose…” in my last reply. Your timely response to my reply indicates you did not review that 10 part series. We need to get on the same page to continue this discussion.

Your reply is inconsistent with freedom. Freedom is the foundation of our country.

With freedom comes responsibility. The responsibility the Reagan shirked by giving the wealthiest the tax breaks leaving the middle class holding the bag. Face it, Reaganomics did not work, of course now we call it supply side economics, which has failed miserably as well. This is the reason for the dead middle class. Remember, a capitalist society needs a strong middle class to survive, Kill the middle class and you kill capitalism. Which is exactly what Reagan did. You can find the numbers if you want. Look at the GDP over the last 40 years and you will see that supply side kills economies.

It is clear you are not interested in the background I’m supplying, based on scientific evidence. You are simply trapped in mainstream media dogma, and a product of our government-controlled educational system, by the content of your replies.

I enjoy the learning experience while educating progressive or moderate liberals. I regret to say, over the last few replies I’m not learning much, and in saying that, I need to move on. Thanks for this discussion; I enjoyed the journey into your logic with a greater insight into your indoctrination. I look forward for another discussion on a different topic.
