An overwhelming 80 percent of Americans don’t trust Republicans. Why should they?

There is absolutely no reason to trust them.

According to the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll, a stunning 80
percent majority do not trust Republicans to govern the nation. Worse, the GOP
can’t even get 20 percent of Americans to trust them. That number stands at
just 19 percent. We’re talking about a major political party that desperately
hopes to take over the Senate and keep control of the House in 2014 and find a
viable candidate to capture the White House in 2016. These poll numbers should
totally and completely embarrass Republicans.

RIP GOP

"Meanwhile, 27 percent of Americans have faith in Democrats, while 72 percent don’t."

So apparently 72% of Americans not trusting Dems is no big deal. But 80%!! Lets run a story about how bad those GOP'ers are!

Both parties are the same. They both want to divide Americans so that we will not focus on them. And that tactic is working.

But I do see a silver lining here; presumably, 72% of Americans realize both parties are not worthy of trust. That is a step in the right direction.

Who knew there was a poll to answer?? Apparently, as they generally do, the left got their tweets and e-mails to run to the poll. And yes, that happens. Considering that the pundits, both left and right, agree that the GOP will hold the House and may have a good chance of taking the Senate, there appears to be little to be embarrassed about. We will all have to wait for the elections. Certainly it is fair to say that the nation is none to happy with our current administration and Ocare.

Trust and politician should not be in the same sentence. Those that think it is are genuinely stupid. If you trust Obama, you are a fool. If you trust Reid, Pelosi et al, you are a fool. And so on, through 90% of our elected officials at every level of government. (allowing 10% for the possibility of trustworthy few) Elected officials should be watched closely and questioned on their actions, those that do not think so are, indeed, fools.

After decades of Liberal indoctrination in our public schools and a leftwing agenda driven "media" on a campaign to misinform America and nuture hate against the GOP, I'm not surprised.

Maybe the GOP is doomed, but Conservatism isnt. That fact seems to elude most GOP haters.

Hate the GOP? Just the greed, avarice, and complete lack of empathy and cohesiveness that defines their ideology. As far as the conservatives, they have done more to boost favor and rally voters to vote for the Liberal ideology more than Democrats have. If at some point conservatives stop their laser focus on hyperbolic attacks and derisive behavior and formulate a cohesive and effective ideology that can attract the voters, then the Liberals will have a reason to focus our attention on the possibility the GOP will survive.

It makes it quite evident that you, the individual, are responsible for your own well-being and state, not some third party whose pockets you pilfer, not some government entity that pilfers others' pockets on your behalf under the guise of 'fairness', not some all-encompassing absurdity such as 'a village' operating under a 'hive' mentality. Your fate is your own to determine.

A picture is worth a thousand words and the reverse of the photo is a lesson in art...it conveyed more than a thousand words could any day of the week. Besides...if I had written a thousand words to prove what that picture represented - - you wouldn't have bothered to read it. But check it out...you actually went out of your way to do a little research. Good for you! Keep it up and you might just rub enough brain cells together to have an original thought.

Trusting the GOP in terms of Lincoln's phrase in the Gettysburg Address, that "of the people, by the people, and for the people" is contrary to many of the GOP's beliefs.

As much as the GOP tries to make us believe differently, they are not the party of "the people."
