An Open Letter to Dr. Ron Paul

KCurtis 2012/06/11 23:53:12
Dear Dr. Paul,
I am just a mother and a grandmother who so loves this country and the concept of freedom that stands faithfully behind our lovely United States Constitution. While I respect your views, I also see that you have collected a vast and deep following of people over the course of your admirable career. But, I must ask you now to consider the path you have chosen and the priorities of it. I must ask that you define for those followers, what is the best path for the greater good of us, the American people. I have been involved in politics at a local level since the 1970’s. I have served on a public level, but rarely delved into the national level until 2008. Today with little experience, I run a PAC, a political action committee under the blanket of the independent grass roots movement of the Tea Party. I’ve been an independent voter for over 42 years over 10 election cycles voting for both Democrats and Republicans who hold a fiscal and Constitutional conservative ideology. Now I realize something critical to both the path and direction of this great country, I must chose a side that stands clearly against the progressive movement toward a foundation that squarely stands on the opposite side of Socialism, Marxism, Fascism and eventually Communism, and that stance falls on the Republican Party. While a presidency held by Governor Romney is not as conservative as I like, I recognize for the good of all of the US people; Mr. Romney is the only opportunity we have to continue to live under the Constitution I swore a pledge of allegiance to for the better part of my entire life. So I ask you, plain and simple, transparent, from the bottom of my heart to do the same. The people who follow you have clearly stood for the Constitution, but unfortunately they also blindly follow your direction and some are willing to follow that dedication to the end of the freedom. They as well as all Americans need your direction now. They need to be told you are no longer seeking the office of the President of the United States and they need to be given your choice of endorsement. Without this, all of what you have stood for will soon fall to the ashes of the end of this great nation, the end of a free people. Ronald Regan once said freedom was the last stand in the United States and here we are, at the end of the road. Those of us who never stood with either party now realize that another 4 years of a leftist, progressive presidency will end all that we have stood for, for the last 240 years. It’s time Dr. Paul, it’s time for you, like I, to make your choice.

You have no possible way to win your honorable fight. You have given your all and those on either side have lost, but we as Americans have lost the most. While I understand your attempts and respect your positions now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country; this includes you Dr. Paul. We need to be united so that we will live to vote another day. I urge you to come forward, admit your campaign is over and make an endorsement so that those people who blindly follow can make their choice. And if you have any bit of concern over the future of the US Constitution I ask that you give us a start to turn the paradigm back, to move the road toward a better, more conservative America and endorse Mitt Romney. While he is not the most conservative person to guide this nation through the extremely hard times, he is the most conservative candidate who can win and stop the liberal progressive regression of this country and move forward with the founding principles that we have always, and will hopefully always stand for.

Very best regards,

KCurtis, National Chairwoman
Tea Party PAC of USA

Ron Paul ran on the GOP ticket for a reason.
If he wanted to run on a third party ticket he could have.

Romney does have neocon chicken hawks pecking to get into his administration, no doubt about it, but I do not think the economy, or the American people are going to react positively to further military adventures with boots on the ground.

If Obama is elected, we are all done, and that most certainly includes the Campaign for Liberty. You seem to have very little grasp on what the appointment of up to three Supreme Court justices actually means, as well as a continuation of the current economic policies. Never mind the continued assaults on basic freedoms. Obama is a clear and present danger to our Constitutional Republic.

Romney is a very different bad of wax than Obama, and if you can not see that now, no amount of explanation is going to make one bit of difference.

The judges appointed down the road will not have a bearing on this country now and the stakes are too high to place confidence in Oromney. If the country will insert constitutionalists into congress there is no way any president can ram through non-constitutionalist, law-making-from-the-bench judges. And if the congress is controlled by liberals then they won't approve constitutionalist judges anyway.

If you are hanging on the slope of a canyon by a finger and your only choice is; grab a clump of grass hanging over the edge; do the same with a dead bush that is only staying there by clinging to the dirt with a decayed root; then do you have a choice?

Your third choice hanging there in the canyon is to let go = vote for Dr. Paul.

Sorry man, principles are wonderful, but they won't be worth a damn thing in the Amerikan Socialist Republik.

The Republican Party has seen to it that Dr. Paul would never be the GOP nominee. The fraud and abuse that took place in so many primaries means we are already "Back in the USSR".

This open letter of KCurtis's is a sham trying to get liberty minded people to fold and join with the living dead that support Romney. Never!

Also, KCurtis can't answer the questions placed before her as she skirts around issues like Dr. Paul being left out of debates and given as little as 89 seconds to speak in another.
  • Scott Dodgerfan 2012/06/14 13:49:23

Now, the thing about the debates I will have to support you on. Early on I was pretty pissed about it. I mean it was so blatantly biased. Romney wasn't my guy back then, I backed Herman Cain. (I wish the media would have vetted Obama with even half the effort they used to destroy Cain).

But your negative comments about Romney supporters are non-productive. You call the living dead? Really? And you want me to see the light and join your team? Dude - you obviously are not on the recruiting committee.

With all due respect Dodgerfan, it will matter the day after the election, it will matter for the next four years, and it will matter for the rest of our lives. There are very few things that have a greater effect short term and longterm as appointments to the Supreme Court, and the Federal Courts. Not only that, our Federal Courts are, and have been out of control for years, and need to be reigned in with jurists that respect the Constitution.

Personally, nominations to the benches of the Federal Judiciary is one of my main considerations, always. Beyond that, I test my personal liberty/freedom by how the Second Amendment is applied in this country; Arizona good, Illinois bad. The NRA wants Obama out, and has never participated in a presidential election to get rid of someone at this level ever. Obama is a clear and present danger to the Second Amendment.

Socialize medicine is perhaps the worst thing that could happen to health care in this country, and shortly the Supreme Court, by the vote of one, will toss the whole law into the trash. Again the importance of judges, we will have been just missed by that bullet for no other reason. Socialized medicine is a backdoor into growing the federal government to a level that will squash personal liberty, as that is the real purpose of the federal control of it. The Supreme Court will take care of it, so we will not need the executive branch, or legislative branch to do anything, but should anything be left, it would be wise to have people in there who will repeal it.

The litany of Executive Orders issued by President Obama will ALL need to be repealed. A President Obama will not do that, as he will only add to that collection.

I am voting to get Obama and his Merry Band of Marxists out! That is the first order of business, but it is not the end of it since a President Romney would have to be held accountable. I am not hanging on the slope of a canyon by a finger, I am going to vote to stop us from going over that edge, and then from there vote to move us back from the edge, more and more.

While you say you pledge allegiance to America then how can you pledge allegiance to Israel as the GOP does now? Israel won't be happy until the US has lost everything in the sands of the mid east.

Wrong. The U.S. MUST support Israel's right to exist. The U.S. is in the middle east for it's OWN reasons, not because of Isreal.

Why don't we support other nation's right to exist? Israel has nukes and the power to deliver them anywhere in the mid east. They do not need us for anything and we are binding them by our resolutions without their consent.

We try to buy friends with taxpayer money and you can see how far that has gotten us.

Here's what I've learned about you Dodger. You are a poor loser. You hang on to dreams that are dead. You don't know a thing about making a friend or ally that might support your point of view. You have no loyalty for those that deserve it.

All in all, I find you to be an unlikable character. If you are typical of a Ron Paul supporter, he is doomed.

And shame on you for your thoughts on Israel. It's that kind of isolationist attitude that turned me away from Ron Paul. It's a small world Dodger, everybody needs friends they can count on. I suspect you have none.

AHHHhhhh - you're an anti-Semite! Well why didn't you say so! That explains a lot.

But FYI Dodger, the attack on the USS Liberty was a tragic error, nothing more. The Liberty wasn't supposed to be within 100 miles of shore, it got hit 14 miles out. It was thought to be an Egyptian vessel (Egypt had been attacking Israel from the sea).

I doubt you listened or even looked for the other side of that story either. You are getting more and icky Dodger.

The choice between Obama and Romney is irrelevant. It seems to be about as meaningful as having a "choice" between Putin and Medvedev.
Actually, the Russians had a very, very good idea in the early days of their fledgling (and now defunct) democracy: the choice of "none of the above".

Libaterian policy. Ian Rand was pretty much a sociopath. One is only capable of loving one's self. Not your neighbor. He's about the ID not a patriot. Pretty much a worshiper of Greed and wants to repeal: Civil Rights Laws, Workers Rights,Minimum wage, EPA, OSHA, Public Schools, Medicare, Medicade, Social Security, roll back Women's Rights, Voter Rights,...... Only cares about himself. Ron Paul is self centered. He wants to hand over the 3.5 Trillion $ Social Security Fund to his bankster buddies on Wall Street. He has mental issues. There are only 2 things I like about his ideas. One his position on the Middle East and that he wants to legalize POT. His support of Corporate take over of government makes him a Facist.

No man is an island. I guess you don't need to use roads to go to the grocery store, or bank or to go to work. I guess you don't need to work for someone who needs to use roads and rails and air to tranasport goods and services. Who paid for your education or supplies your internet? Who was responsible for inventing many of the electronics you use around your house? No man is an island. The beliefs of Libertarianism is based on sociopath disfunction.
