An Open Letter to Dr. Ron Paul

KCurtis 2012/06/11 23:53:12
Dear Dr. Paul,
I am just a mother and a grandmother who so loves this country and the concept of freedom that stands faithfully behind our lovely United States Constitution. While I respect your views, I also see that you have collected a vast and deep following of people over the course of your admirable career. But, I must ask you now to consider the path you have chosen and the priorities of it. I must ask that you define for those followers, what is the best path for the greater good of us, the American people. I have been involved in politics at a local level since the 1970’s. I have served on a public level, but rarely delved into the national level until 2008. Today with little experience, I run a PAC, a political action committee under the blanket of the independent grass roots movement of the Tea Party. I’ve been an independent voter for over 42 years over 10 election cycles voting for both Democrats and Republicans who hold a fiscal and Constitutional conservative ideology. Now I realize something critical to both the path and direction of this great country, I must chose a side that stands clearly against the progressive movement toward a foundation that squarely stands on the opposite side of Socialism, Marxism, Fascism and eventually Communism, and that stance falls on the Republican Party. While a presidency held by Governor Romney is not as conservative as I like, I recognize for the good of all of the US people; Mr. Romney is the only opportunity we have to continue to live under the Constitution I swore a pledge of allegiance to for the better part of my entire life. So I ask you, plain and simple, transparent, from the bottom of my heart to do the same. The people who follow you have clearly stood for the Constitution, but unfortunately they also blindly follow your direction and some are willing to follow that dedication to the end of the freedom. They as well as all Americans need your direction now. They need to be told you are no longer seeking the office of the President of the United States and they need to be given your choice of endorsement. Without this, all of what you have stood for will soon fall to the ashes of the end of this great nation, the end of a free people. Ronald Regan once said freedom was the last stand in the United States and here we are, at the end of the road. Those of us who never stood with either party now realize that another 4 years of a leftist, progressive presidency will end all that we have stood for, for the last 240 years. It’s time Dr. Paul, it’s time for you, like I, to make your choice.

You have no possible way to win your honorable fight. You have given your all and those on either side have lost, but we as Americans have lost the most. While I understand your attempts and respect your positions now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country; this includes you Dr. Paul. We need to be united so that we will live to vote another day. I urge you to come forward, admit your campaign is over and make an endorsement so that those people who blindly follow can make their choice. And if you have any bit of concern over the future of the US Constitution I ask that you give us a start to turn the paradigm back, to move the road toward a better, more conservative America and endorse Mitt Romney. While he is not the most conservative person to guide this nation through the extremely hard times, he is the most conservative candidate who can win and stop the liberal progressive regression of this country and move forward with the founding principles that we have always, and will hopefully always stand for.

Very best regards,

KCurtis, National Chairwoman
Tea Party PAC of USA

You are right Rock ,Nana is great people. We have a hard way to go come Nov...we need Obama out.But we can't be foolish in our vote and throw it away or Obama will be back and totally destroy this country. I don't want Romney really but at this point he may be the lesser of two evils. So what do we do-------we have to be together on this ALL of us.------or we loose everything we ever had to a scumbag who doesn't belong here to begin with !!

I think in the end they will wake up. Glenn Beck talked about this subject on his radio show and I am sure they get it. Glenn made some good points to the Ron Paul supporters who called in...

Very good and well stated. Personally, I would like to see him defend his own son as well as endorsing Romney. There is not excuse for not defending his son from the disgusting attacks from his supporters.

I told you the "Tea Party" had been taken over by neo-cons!

Once again you so called "conservatives" try to nominate a liberal crappy candidate to go up against Obama.

Insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting different results.

Remember election 08? You are trying to nominate a guy the loser wouldn't pick for VP because of his "draft dodger" status.

remember election 08 nominate guy loser vp draft dodger status

Romney, Mr more of the same offers no hope whatsoever of stopping the train into the abyss, just the same as Obama. Just how long can the pettifoggers avoid collapse?

Maybe, just maybe, a full reverse can manage, and maybe not. But for certain the time has come to ditch the RINO party and for once to, at least and at last, stand for Principle.

You seek "the best path to the greater good", right out of Marx's manual, and soon proceed to voice against "Socialism, Marxism, Fascism and eventually Communism"? Amazing indeed. You have joined those who trade our Right to Life for the greater good?

Then you pitch again the Republicans, who joined the pussyfoot grey middle, joined with the Democrats to hand Obama a debt limit increase (that with 50 of the Tea Party Newbies), and proved time and time again their impotence against force by doing nothing about Obama's Treason and nothing against many new "laws" such as NDAA. You admit that Romney is "less than conservative" yet seek to eliminate the best conservative voice in your party.

Reexamine your premises, please, What will you post when your government goes underwater?

The difference is some hope, or no hope. We've made a difference in the governance of Congress and we can make a difference in the governance of the White House, or we can live to see the end of the last great free society. I will post when it goes underwater, if you blind followers let Obama have another 4 years.

If you recall, he put Clinton in office for 8 years and therefore helped Clinton to teach the Chi-coms to aim 400 nukes at our west coast, and a Nuke armed Iran is not acceptible, it is bad enough that Pakistan and India have them.

So do I when there isn't the priciple of national suicide involved, or are you ok with Iran getting nukes like he Is?

Your prinicpled vote, like my mother's, sister's, borther's, sister in law's, and wife's already got us 400 nukes aimed at our country, and I'm sure more now.

I generally agree with you, but not on this one.

I am never okay with nukes, but our 5000 to 0 edge suffices for a long long time over Iran. If needed, we can turn the place to glass overnight if they should be foolish enough to try. Fools they are, but I'm betting they want to live longer.

Every generation produces a few insane Rulers, so we can never know when one of them triggers WW3. We cannot devote all our resources to war, especially when we can't print enough money to crawl out of our hole.

Maybe you didn't see the news, or chose not to, the new agreement is to reduce our stockpiles to 300, China bragged last time, several years ago. It's Russia who has several thousand in their stock pile, the agreement allows them to "update" their weapons while we won't or can't.

Tell you what, you get the bad guys to destroy their, not just promise to and then you may have a sane point, as for the Iranian mullahs, they think the best way of bringing their world wide jihad on is through catistrophic war, as for your thought that if we disarm there would be peace, think about it again Mr. Chamberlin.

    To Dr. Paul,

As an avid supporter, I suggest you refrain from endorsing anyone. Your followers have filed a lawsuit to unbind all of the delegates, leaving the door open for you to take the nomination. For you to endorse Romney would be a great betrayal of your followers. This person who wrote you this letter has never been one of your followers and does not believe in your message of freedom and liberty. She does not speak for any of us. We will fight for Tampa, and if at that time things do not turn in the direction that we hope we will make our choice whether to support Romney, write you in, or follow one of the third party candidates. Until than stay strong, don't give up, and keep up the good fight for freedom and liberty.

    Sincerely,

    Your Avid supporter Teri

You guys are so funny, first you say we are insignificant and the minority, than you plead with us to vote with you to further your agenda. What do you care if we decide not to vote for Romney, according to you, Romney is the favorite and we little Paul people aren't enough to make a dent? As for balladeer, he is rude and stoops to name calling, you can not have an adult conversation with him if his life depended on him. I blocked him because I have no use for children acting like adults, or in his case trying to.
