The Mendacity of Barack Obama

By Steve McCann

Over my 45+ years in the business
community, both domestic and international, I have dealt with an
overwhelming variety of people of all races and political philosophies.
Men and women who were thoroughly honest and many who had no concept of
honor and integrity. Among them were those who would do or say
anything to achieve their ends and do so with a straight face and an air
of self-confidence that would deceive the most gullible. It is only
through painful experience that one is finally able to develop an
antenna to quickly weed out those charlatans.

While I have always been wary of and have written about his dishonesty, after the speech the president delivered the 13th
of April regarding the federal budget, one that was chock full of lies,
deceit, and crass fear-mongering, it must be said that Barack Obama is
the most dishonest, deceitful, and mendacious person in a position of
power I have ever witnessed.

That performance was the
culmination of four years of outright lies and narcissism that have been
largely ignored by the media, including some in the conservative press
and political class who are loath to call Mr. Obama what he is in the
bluntest of terms: a liar and a fraud. That he relies on his skin color
to intimidate, either outright or by insinuation, those who oppose his
radical agenda only adds to his audacity. It is apparent that he has
gotten away with his character flaws his entire life, aided and abetted
by the sycophants around him, thus he is who he is and cannot change.

The question becomes is he a compulsive liar or a sociopath? By definition:

A
sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get
their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is
often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused -- it is done to get one's
way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and
feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but
they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered
ways.

A compulsive liar:

A
compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is
their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive
liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a
compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable
while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually developed in early
childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was
necessary.

I came to the United States as a
survivor of the Second World War. I spent my early years alone on the
streets of a totally destroyed city somewhere in central Europe. In
order to survive I had to steal food where I could and lie in order to
survive. I spent a good part of my life, even after coming to America
and being adopted, battling those inbred impulses. It was a
never-ending struggle with successes and failures, but I was able to
finally defeat those demons.

What I say about Barack
Obama I do not do lightly, but because I fear greatly for this country
and can, not only from personal experience but in my dealing with
others, recognize those failings in a person whose only interest is
himself and his inbred radical ideology, which as its lynchpin desires
to transform the country into a quasi-totalitarian state by any means
possible.

In the United States there is great deference
paid to the occupant of the White House. Justifiably so, as that person
is not only the chief operating officer of the country but also the
head of state representing the nation around the globe. The president's
actions and demeanor set the tone for not only the political class but
the country as a whole. Over the centuries there have many exceptional
but also a few inept men to hold the office of President.

Today
so much power is now vested in the Office of President of the United
States that honor and integrity must be a hallmark of a president's
character. It is not with Barack Obama; he may well be the most
dishonest and disingenuous occupant of the Oval Office in history, and
will do more damage to the nation than all his predecessors combined.

His
failings can no longer be excused by this historical deference or
timidity fostered by race, with the euphemisms of spin, obfuscation,
fabrication, or politics being used to avoid the truth. Obama is
extremely adept at exploiting the celebrity culture that has overwhelmed
the society as well as the erosion of the education system that has
created a generation or more of citizens unaware of their history,
culture as well as historical ethical standards based on Judeo-Christian
teaching.

While the future of the country depends on
dramatically altering the economic and governing landscape, it cannot do
so unless the opposition politicians and average citizens forcefully
challenge and respond to the lies and machinations of Barack Obama and
his allies without fear of what may be said about them or to them. As
for me, I have already experienced far worse than anything that could be
said or done to me. My only concern is for the welfare of my fellow
citizens and the noblest experiment in the history of mankind: the
United States.

Mendacity is too kind a word.

But it shows what a good teleprompter reader can do, when he has a poorly-educated, half-dependent populace to work with.

How in the hell does a young man grow up in the United States of America and not know how to pronounce "corpsman"?? He knows nothing at all of American history and the sacrifices those bearing that rating have made over the years. Navy Hospital Corpsmen, pro-rata, have received more Medals of Honor than any other similar group. Many of them were received when they died shielding a Marine they were treating while under fire.

Obama has degrees, but he is not educated. There is a difference. Listen to Obama over time, and it is obvious that he doesn't know or understand history, doesn't have a junior high level grasp of science, and has an understanding of human psychology most kindly described as wishful thinking.

My theory is that he was not brought up as a normal American child. First, he spent his formative years in foreign schools in Indonesia - missing courses in U.S. History and probably being taught negatively about the "colonizers" in general - Indonesia was a Dutch colony before it gained its independence.

Then he attended a wealthy private school in Hawaii, Punahou, where they also taught about the evils of colonialism -- even today there is an anti-colonialist movement in Hawaii. So what Barry Soetero was raised on was anti-colonialism/anti-America... along with a dose of Communist indoctrination from "Frank", and even more anti-American radicalism from Jeremiah Wright and Alinsky's teachings.

It would be a miracle if he turned out to be an America-loving patriot - it's no surprise that he did not.

Mr. McCann's thoughtful insights and use of personal experiences are extremely effective, in my opinion. He does make some very good points and it warms my heart to know that there are people out there who feel precisely as I do about the United States of America.

America has had numerous scandals when it comes to her political history but I have to admit that some of the things that are going on today on Capitol Hill are a whole lot uglier than some of the things I've read about in our history.

I honestly do not need to comment any further because Mr. McCann has said precisely what has been on my mind for a long time about Barack Obama. What makes him stand out above all the other dastardly occupants of the White House is the fact that he is not acting in concert with a handful of buddies for the enhancement of his own wealth and power, which the country could recover from in the future, but he has got this jumble of ridiculous ideological goals for this country and this narcissistic idea that he, supported by his cronies whom he actually doesn't see pulling the puppet strings, is going to accomplish in record-breaking time. And the guy has actually put a lot of those plans into action to the total detriment of our economy, our national security, and our standing throug...

Mr. McCann hit the nail on the head when he cited "the noblest experiment in the history of mankind: the United States." Amen to that. And Barack Obama is doing his very best to destroy that noble experiment. Time to put a stop to the madness. November 2012. God Bless America and damn the traitors amongst us.

There is no doubt in my mind that the "fast & furious" scandal and cover-up, where two American Border Patrol agents and hundreds of Mexican citizens were killed with weapons the Obama/Hold Justice Department allowed to "walk" across the border, puts Nixon's cover-up of a minor political dirty-trick in the Watergate scandal to shame. The problem is that back then even Republicans, who have a sense of honor, called for Nixon's resignation. Liberal Democrats have no honor and no shame.

Funny you should bring up Nixon. Even when Watergate occurred, I was shocked at the brouhaha that was caused. Everybody knew that political shenanigans were going on all the time. And not that I didn't think politics needed to be cleaned up, I was surprised at the extreme reaction to it all.

You very correctly bring up the Republicans' call for Nixon to resign and I wish it could be emphasized over and over and over again what happened there because today's politicians don't seem to have one scintilla of honor in them when it comes to how they "play the game" and what they'll say or do to get elected to office.

But the most important thing that has always impressed me about that entire Watergate scandal? Although much can be said negatively about Richard Nixon, and I have to agree with a lot of it, he came from the old school of honor and integrity. He chose to step down rather than to drag his country through the mud trying to unseat him. And he did that as a patriotic American, not as a sleazy politician like we have in today's arena.

If we could take today's occupants of Capitol Hill and zip them into the moral atmosphere of yesteryear, Obama and his czars would never have made it past the first year of office. Heck, Bill Clinton would have been ousted following Monica's revelations. It is so terribly unfortunate that the dignity and sanctity of the Oval Office has eroded to the extent it has today. And shameful, to say the very least.

Another time that Nixon put the country ahead of his own ambitions was the 1960 election. It was pretty certain that the Democrats in Chicago and Texas had stolen the election for Kennedy, in Texas and Illinois (no surprise there!) and Nixon was urged by many close advisers to challenge the results in those two states (a la Al Gore in 2000!) but Nixon refused to do so because of the damage it might do to the country.

It happened that when the Watergate scandal was just over and Nixon had resigned, I was aboard USS Enterprise in the Indian Ocean. We made a port call to Mombasa, Kenya. The officers of Enterprise held a reception for the Kenyan navy at the Nyali Beach Hotel and I got into conversations with a number of the Kenyans. To a man they were puzzled why Nixon had to resign - they thought that what had gone on was a normal part of politics.

Precisely the point I was trying to make. It was the way things were done, period. No guns blazing or mass murders, just old-fashioned espionage in-house. Also reminds me of around the same time period, I think it was, the Lockheed scandals in Tokyo? You know, the "gift" giving? It was like everybody was born within 24 hours of the news leak about the business transactions in Tokyo and, bang, a bunch of Lockheed execs got fired and I don't recall what all happened next. But I do remember standing around with my jaw dragging the floor in shock. I could never figure out what I missed. Honest. Good lord, they were making Hollywood movies about the old-fashioned traditions in Japan in those days. As I said, I have never figured that one out. Still haven't. You know something I don't?

I'm going to say something cheesy here, watch out. Never talked like this before but the way I've seen things go lately ---- but Nixon was Republican. He got his hands caught in the proverbial cookie jar and the reaction was to all but execute him at dawn. Is this what I missed? That had it been a democratic president that perhaps Watergate would have been relegated to an office chat and giggle here and there and ended but a Republican president got reamed out big time?

    But I will go back...

But I will go back to my major point when I initially made my comments: Richard Nixon, for all of his faults, etc., put the welfare of the United States of America ahead of his own personal gains. He was no saint, by golly, but he was a patriotic American. Say what you want about the man, we need men/women of his moral fiber in Washington today more so than ever before.

The campaign between JQA and AJ was probably the dirtiest campaign ever run, until possibly now.

AJ was a champion of the people. He slaughtered thousands of NA's as a general and led the Battle of New Orleans. The common folks loved him so much for that that htey over-looked the fact that he was a murderer and a bigamyst.
