Allen West Rips the President for hosting a fancy event that he himself attended and enjoyed. Is this being a hypocrite?

Allen West before and during the party:

"On Saturday night I was honored to be invited to the White House
Correspondents Association dinner. There was much glam, glamour, and
humor flowing," West posted on his Facebook page on Monday morning.

Then all of a sudden: "While the President laughs and dines, our Constitutional Republic is
eroding and my countrymen are suffering," West wrote. "In this election
year, it is sad to think that some of those who were sitting in that
ballroom Saturday night laughing and living it up, are helping to
perpetuate the manipulation and deception of our country."

Why is Allen West even attending such high living events if he dislikes them so much? Why does he go places that he has such obvious contempt for. He ate, and drank and even signed autographs like a celebrity, then has the nerve to call the President for hosting an event that he himself attended?

Does this seem like Hypocrisy to you?

Hypocrisy? Maybe. Jealousy? DEFINITELY!! He looked on in obvious jealousy and envy at a fellow African American who aspired to and achieved the highest office in the land. Wishing that he himself were at that very podium making jokes. Allen West is nothing and will be nothing more than a teabagging tool!!

Allen West needs to get off his high horse and come back to reality. It's an event that Presidents have been putting on for years. Remember Bush looking for WMD's as if it was a joke? Turns out it really was.

Whether or not it's hypocritical, it is extremely poor manners. One does not accept hospitality then openly criticise one's host. A politician with no understanding of basic courtesies has no place on the world stage, let alone to lead a country.
