The Left is relentlessly attacking Congressman Allen West because he had the audacity to speak the truth and tell the voters that there are 76 OPEN communists, socialists and socialist sympathizers presently serving in Congress.
The barrage of insults is still coming, fast and furious. The Left is calling West a "liar," a "McCarthyite" and an "extremist." The Left is calling folks like you who stand with Congressman West, "pod people" and victims of "mass hysteria," and the Mainstream media is actively pushing our Republican leaders to actually CONDEMN Allen West.
WE MUST tell the Republican leadership.....that we stand with Allen West.
They should have immediately come to Congressman West's defense, but they didn't. As a matter of fact, their silence has been deafening, and that's unacceptable.
We pray for them to grow a spine....
It's time that they stood for the truth. It's time that they be made to understand that patriotic Americans stand with Congressman West and they must either stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who speak the truth or they must be replaced.
It's up to us to see that they get the message.....today. Write your
representatives.....and tell them to stand up and be counted.....or send out their resume's. When Congressman Allen West bravely exposed this open secret, we waited patiently. We waited for our Republican leaders in Congress to stand behind this war hero and join him in exposing this open secret.

The public outreach featured speeches by SEIU International Secretary‐Treasurer Eliseo Medina, Metropolitan D.C. Central Labor Council President Joslyn Williams, Jobs with Justice Executive Director Sarita Gupta, and finally Nation magazine political correspondent John Nichols.

DSA locals do more social movement work and educational activities than concerted electoral work. But where they engage in electoral action, they mostly work to elect progressive Democrats (and sometimes independents) who come out of and represent grassroots struggles for social justice. We also recognize that it is crucial to work to re-elect the most progressive voices in Congress. Thus, in our PAC activity we will work to aid the re-election efforts of Senator Bernard Sanders (I-VT) and Congressman John Conyers (D-MI)

Both have been targeted by Republicans for defeat because they are the most consistent anti-corporate and radical voices in Congress. Just as the DSA PAC helped raise funds for Senator Sanders first election to the Senate in 2006, and we will work in 2012 to aid the re-election efforts of Senator Sanders and Congressman Conyers, both long-time friends of DSA.
