Allen West: Democrats Are 'Afraid of Black Conservatives' Do you agree with Allen West

West said he believes the Democrats and the Obama campaign have adopted a
strategy to go after “black conservatives” in the Republican Party, including
Condoleezza Rice and others because “we intimidate them.”

“They’re afraid of us because there are more of us that are able to stand
up on our own and talk about the failures of liberal progressive policies,
especially toward the black community,” West said. “They . . . definitely don’t
want to have individuals that can stand up on their own.”

West said Democrats are playing the race card because “they want to make
sure that they get that large voting electorate out there from the different
communities.”

“They look at us as collectives, not as individuals,” he continued. “And
you have to understand that this is going to continue to happen. And the
president emanating from Chicago, it's all about Chicago-style politics, it's
about fear and intimidation, it's about lies and deceit."

Liberals just can't stand any black conservative, that refuses to stay on their liberal plantation! And they even hate West more, because he had the guts to tell them just that as well!

Actually it is Mr. Allen West who is playing the 'race card'. trying to make it seem that black conservatives are first all republicans.. which they are not. and then also insinuating that the black conservative vote is significant enough among the black vote to seriously affect the outcome of the election.. which it is not, simply because the black conservative Republican is a minority within a minority. The Obama campaign is seeking out EVERY ONE, but not to 'go after them' in the way that Mr West suggested.

The intimidation is only found within the ego of Mr. West and his own delusions of self importance.

He feels that he is strong and intimidating, that he speaks for all of the black conservatives.. which in reality he does not.

The first thing Dems do is classify people into groups, they see voting blocks not individuals. Women, blacks, Latinos, gays, youth, seniors, union members, immigrants... It seems that when there are notable Conservatives who come from one of these classifications (Clarence Thomas, Condoleeza Rice, Sarah Palin, Marco Rubio, Michelle Bachman, Bobby Jindahl, Nicki Haley...) they are immediately denounced as stupid, sellouts, out of touch, etc.

This process happens because the Democratic Party allows it, the inference that we Libertarians make is because they are afraid of an erosion of their base. Once an intellectually honest person is faced with the concept of a Liberty led life as opposed to an equal outcome life, they are shaken to the core. It makes a person confront their beliefs and change the way they think and look at life.

There is a natural process that occurs in most people who are not hard core ideologues as they age, they become more conservative. This is a result of living and experiencing life. When we are young, we think adults overlook easy answers- like just legislating answers to social issues. As we age, we understand that our circumstances (as adults) is usually based on the sum of all our decisions up to that point. This obviously doesn't apply to yo...

When we are young, we think adults overlook easy answers- like just legislating answers to social issues. As we age, we understand that our circumstances (as adults) is usually based on the sum of all our decisions up to that point. This obviously doesn't apply to young children or the victim of a truly tragic event in life. But for the most part, we reap what we sow. If we don't like the crops we are bringing in, then we need to make better or different decisions.

I believe this is why Democratic leaders are unwilling to debate on issues and resort to sound bites and talking points. In the arena of ideas, Classic Liberalism defeats Modern Liberalism every time.

Considering there is no more conservative OR liberal on Capitol Hill and they are all working towards the same agenda, owned by the same people, I can't agree with Allen West's statement regarding conservatives be they white or black.

Interesting term, "interesting". I would BEG you not to take my word for my previous statement, but take a look back through time and see who have been the major campaign donors for presidential candidates of both parties for as long as you want. You will find that no matter who wins or loses the election, the donors still win and American citizens are stuck footing whatever bills put before us.

Do you think our government wasn't long aware of Obama's ties to Rezko, his violation of the Logan Act, his campaign for his genocidal cousin Raila Odinga, his questionable place of birth? You think the Republicans remotely tried to win the last election? It was time for a new face and an alleged new party in the White House so the one half of the public that still believes there is a difference between the two parties, other than rhetoric, could be pacified. The same will happen again in 2016 because this public is still gullible and unwilling to face the truth that we are living one of the biggest lies ever perpetrated against mankind

For the Democrats, it is all about control thru promoting the plantation mentality. Any black that does not agree with West is willing to be controlled by welfare status.

He and Rice know each other very well.
Maybe fear wasn't the right word.
Or perhaps they fear that the government benefits will be taken away by the Repubs. I think that is what Dems want them to believe.
The truth is...we are all in this together but the Dems want us to remain separate. Nothing makes them happier than to see black ppl split, blaming Repubs as the party of White, and dependent on Dem ideas. The Dems love that plantation mentality. That is how they continue to control ppl.
Its so weird....what WOULDN'T we have in common? They could say that about any relationship. Ya have to be willing to FIND similarities and tolerate the rest. MG, if that were not true, I would have voted my husband out of my life years ago. LOL

I knew about this a long time ago. Black Republicans - conservative, moderate, or liberal - have always been vicously attacked by the Democrats and democrat liberals for ages. There is a website on the internet called National Black Republican Assocation http://www.nationalblackrepub... that documents the democrats attacks on black republicans
here are two of the articles and their links that can be found on that site. Specially Dr. Martin Luther King article since he was a Republican conservative during his lifetime:

I don't know about Martin Luther King Jr's party affiliation, but I do know that 1) Southern Blacks supported the GOP until the 1940s because it had been Abraham Lincoln's party and the Southern Democrats were mostly segregationists 2) They switched to the Democrats after the "Southern Strategy" was implemented by the Republicans.

A black conservative is a threat to the Liberals because they are confident, they depend on no one( especially the government ) and they are proud of that. They are educated and were raised by people that were either educated or new the importance of being educated. They were shown that hard work is not the enemy. That being productive is not to be lazy.

Black conservatives, latino conservatives, asian conservatives, female conservatives, and the list goes on. Anything that doesn't fit their stereotypical, propaganda-driven mold of a white man for a conservative is a threat to their agenda. And they know it.
