Allen West would make a good VP choice for *anyone* running for President against Obama. He qualifies for the job, and he has been in the field and gotten "up close and personal" with the enemy.

Yes, while I agree Romney, McCain, and Obama are all in the same vane. West has yet to show that he can gain a following among his peers. Until then he is a man with good ideas and no results, just like Ron Paul.

several army units-in other words, responsible for the arming, training, financing and treansport of several thousand folks, coordinating medical and dental care, and a mini hospital wherever they went. AND has a private sector degree and experience matching or beating obies.

I have seen little of his private sector experience. The public sector accomplishments, while admirable, are in a top down environment.

I would tend to agree, although Obama like Bush is pretty good at pissing all over the constitution.

Obama's "political experience" consisted of two years in the Senate voting "present."

In West's very first week in Congress he co-sponsored a bill trying to end birth-right citizenship for illegal aliens.

Yep, West understands our constitution and it's limits and it's power to the people, obie still hasn't even proven he WENT to school.

Romney would be the first president in a long time with actual business executive experience. West at least has over 20 years of LEADERSHIP experience. Neither he nor Eisenhower had political or business experience. But we need LEADERS more than anything. And West will impart a sense of direction to Romney.

That is the rub, he hasn't shown any propensity to lead among his peers, for the short while he has been in congress.

Bush had business experience, and he was a dismal failure at both business and leadership.

I daresay, he is not an affirmative action promotee. He is a highly educated man, and a well decorated soldier. One of his last assignments was as a Battalion Commander in the 4th Infantry Division.... He has served his country for more than 20 years as a soldier, and earned his way. That he was elected by the constituents that he was elected by...considering their overall demographics speaks not only loudly but highly for him.

He is far more qualified than many who have held the position of VP.

West would be an excellent choice but maybe not the wisest. I think we need to keep Paul Ryan where he is. Rubio may be a little too green and an obvious ploy to attract Hispanic votes. Jeb Bush might be best for delivering Florida plus having governor experience.

Jeb Bush is the son that should have been President but I don't think the country wants another Bush right now. That would create just too much baggage.

True but just the Bush name wouldn't really work right now. However, I agree that Jeb Bush should be an excellent candidate. He's pretty moderate, much like Romney. He can speak Spanish which is a plus. His wife is Hispanic.

His privatization of DOT was a big one to begin with, it put a lot of folks out of work, and resulted in long delays on already delayed roads. My aunt was put out of her job-she had enough years to retire. Privatizing the peisons has ended up being more costly, and his relaxing of ANY rules on illegals has been a disaster for small northern pnahandle communities. Bonifay and Caryville and Chipley are overrun with welfare illegals and crime has gone WAY up. That is just a start.

My dad lives in the panhandle, and his case load at his job used to be all Americans, now the sace load involves several hundred NON english speakers. So, a major stress on social service and resources, THEY get the same electric bill help, same drug help (prescriptions), same housekeeping help, and they contribute ZERO and many are newly here, brought by relatives so they COULD get free services.

Overall he may have appeared okay, but the bottom line to smaller communities has been awful. I only live 20 miles or so from the panhandle.

Sounds like you're from my father-in-law's area. He was born in Black, Alabama. Graceville is named after his family. If you know any Grace's, they probably are relatives. Don't hold that against us! LOL!
