A Tea Party activist starts by pointing out two things that most people miss:
  1. Marco Rubio is not qualified to run for President or Vice-President. He is not a natural born citizen within the meaning of Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5, or Amendment XII. Marco Rubio's parents did not get naturalized until Marco was five years old. (But Marco Rubio's son could run for President someday--that is, if the Lord tarries.)
  2. And Condi Rice? It would be Iraq War Redux. Not to mention her position in favor of abortion.

So the activist gives his choice: Representative (former Lt. Col.) Allan West.

The press has the audacity to tell us Allan West is the new voice of
the African Americans. How they love to create a racial divide. I’m sick
and tired of you clowns making race, ethnicity and religion an issue.
Allan West is an American! Americans come in all colors nationalities,
races and religions. That’s what makes us exceptional, something
numb-nuts will never understand.

So let me be clear, Rep. (Col.) Allan West is a voice of the American
people. What this country needs is an educated patriot that speaks for
all the people, not any selective group. Col. West is the only true
voice out there at this time. It’s not the black vote, or the vote of
any one group it’s the vote of every American citizen that will put the
Marxist out of a job, (did I say job, this clown does nothing but tear
apart the Republic) In truth, both parties stink! Just maybe A Romney
–West ticket could unify us again. It is for that reason we in the
United States need a patriot, and educated man that can be respected by
all the voters regardless of party.

What say you? Would Allan West make a good Vice-President? Can you see him herding the most cantankerous cats in Christendom, the United States Senate?

I repeat what I've said many times before:

Allan West is the gunnery sergeant of the House Republican Caucus.

    YOU GOT THAT?

    UNDERSTAND?

    YES, SIR!

He would be the perfect choice to knock heads together and shake things up.

Unlike the Dimocrats, I believe in picking a No 2 that could step into the presidents footsteps if the need arises. Allen West is that kind of leader.

I agree that west would be a great VP choice. he would help keep Romney on track and prove useful with foreign policy.

I also agree that Rubio is not constitutionally eligible for office of VP but have found it interesting that he was declared eligible by the Democrats months ago, they are attempting to change what is required by the Constitution through the people's vote. I wonder why Rubio has not once just said that although he is flattered by people believing he should be VP it is not a possibility since his parents were not citizens when he was born. This would show that he not only understands America's Constitution but that he also respects the limitations set by it. I've heard repeatedly in the last four years that Obama is eligible because the people voted him in. I wasn't aware this was the criteria nor do I ever remember reading that rule in the Constitution. The Dems know that Obama is not Constitutionally eligible because his father was never a US citizen and a natural born citizen is a child whose mother and father are citizens when they are born. They want republicans to violate this rule in the same way so that they can change the meaning based on both parties nominating candidates who have went against the current definition in similar ways!

We need to follow the Constitution's set rules for eligibility for all candidates for President and Vice-President regardless of party period.

It would be better for Allen West to continue bringing the fight to liberals right on the battlefront in Congress than to take a largely ceremonial position as vice-president. He is more effective right where he is.

If he does that he can kiss the Florida vote good bye. In his own district - Palm Beach-Treasure Coast - he's running in a dead heat against his democratic challenger. In that same district Romney is leading Obama by 3-5 %, outside the margin of error. That tells me, at least anecdotally, that West could potentially do more harm than good by putting him at the bottom of the ticket.

    http://www.postonpolitics.com...

This source I found is about 2 months old now, so the numbers may have changed slightly. But I still don't see where the benefit is of putting West in the veep slot. If Romney wants a solid draw on his conservative base then he needs someone like Cantor or Ryan in the #2 slot.

I would love to see him move on up. As far ad Rubio is concerned, I don't see why we have to go by the rules of natural born with him, when the Obots didn't with Obama. They set the precedent for that already.

Allen West is someone who actually stands up and speaks out for what he believes in, and he has moral principles too. He still believes in America--can't say the same about the socialist scum in the white house right now, that's for sure.
