The conservative preoccupation with presenting Sharia law as a threat to the United States’ culture as well as its national security has long been an unwarranted source of liberal derision.
They may want to rethink their attitude after this story.

Recently, the city of Dearborn, Michigan, hosted the 2012 Arab International Festival.
Naturally enough, the event drew demonstrators, specifically a group of Christian protesters who wanted to voice their discontent with what they saw as the predominately Muslim character of the event.
Whatever you may think of this motive, the results of their behavior were unquestionably shocking.
Adult party crashers suck no matter what race or religion they are and the "kids" don't like it and will react the same way no matter what religion or race they are, they're kids! I'd expect more from the "Christian" adults than I would the Muslim children. They crashed a party. They had no place there. They were inciting children! That is pathetic. On the other side, the children need to be taught that they can not handle race/religious prejudice in a violent manner. Unfortunately human beings will always find ways to have conflict. I just get pissed when everyone is saying it is always because of "the other".
None are no better than the other. All groups have good and evil within them. Just like Christians can no longer burn witches on American soil, neither can these people practice any religious barbarity here. There has already been cases of honor killings in the U.S. and these people are charged with murder and are locked up. I would much rather think that American Muslims came here for the same reason most of our families did. For freedom and to escape religious barbarity and to keep the best parts of their religious beliefs that concur on what all religions should concur on ... freedom and the right to live a peaceful existence.

On a side note. I am concerned about a particular practice by people from India and China who terminate pregnancies strictly because of their sex (which is usually female). The U.S. government struck down a law that would have declared sex selection infanticide illegal. I was truly shocked in regards to this but I know that most people in the U.S. would not even consider throwing away their baby at 4 or 5 months because it was the "wrong" sex. We need to keep a better eye on our laws and law makers.
