All the achievements 0bama cited in his "you didn't build that" passage are **individual** achievements

This is exactly what 0bama said (emphasis added):

If you were successful,
somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere
in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system
that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and
bridges.

Notice that all the achievements he cites are individual achievements.

If he had stopped there, he would have been correct. Government achieves nothing. Only individuals achieve.

Government is merely an organizational scheme created by individuals, in the hope and belief that it will prove to be efficient at achieving specific goals.

When a particular government stops serving these ends, it can be abolished or altered, and replaced with a better government. By individuals.

Of course, 0bama didn't stop there. He went on to betray his true beliefs, that business owners didn't really build their businesses. That somehow, simply by virtue of the fact that we all live in a society, there really isn't any such thing as individual achievement at all!

He is absolutely wrong about that. I'm willing to bet that by now, he's beginning to suspect it!

He's wrong, as usual. His comments were astounding though not surprising. Frustration will almost always eventually lead to honesty.

Obama hasn't a clue about what success IS. He's never had any. He's never provided a job, never taught anyone job related subjects, never risen in the ranks because of accomplishment. Like at the very beginning of his term, he is still an empty suit without any decent resume.

    President? Yes, a lousy one.
Senator? Yes, a lousy one, just part of his "resume".
Community organizer? Equivalent to street gangster.
Prolific writer? He isn't. Bill Ayers may be.

The left believes in the collective, not the individual. He and Elizabeth "Cherokee Nation" Warren are trying to diminish the individual and their accomplishments and promote "it takes a village" progressive thinking.

A man invented the wheel government didn't. They may regulate it, outlaw it or try some other maneuver but they have invented nothing except control.

People invented everything. Government invented nothing.

Did the government collect tax money to pay people to invent things? Yes. Because we the people authorized it to do so.

If the government should then turn around and say, "oh btw, since you authorized us to pay for such-and-such, you need to pay us MORE money now", then it's time to alter or abolish that government. It's not doing the job it was authorized to do.

This is very sad. Soetoro/Obama totally negates the foundations of America and Americans. In one fell swoop he pours nutralizer on the spirit that is the identifier of our country. This is the final step he takes to sow utter discouragement upon us, so that, we will have no steam left to fight his dictatorship.

Obama says Everyone is intitled to anything they want , from free housing, free cars, free cell phones, free clothing, free this free that, and a welfare debit card good at casinos, strip clubs, and liquor stores. So why in hell do we need jobs?

Since he believes government, not the individual creates businesses, why have a welfare program, after all Obie says he creates business, why is he not creating businesses for those on welfare?

Obie, is this what you learned at Harvard? Do you believe as Harvard does that if someone has an old photo of a guy with high cheekbones, that it is proof you are a native American Indian? Between Obie and the blonde native American Indian with a photo thier reputation has been damaged beyond belief

If I had chosen to not build my business. All aspects of government would still be in place. The choice was mine. Regardless of what government does and in spite of what they do. The drive and desire still remains solely with the individual. We are the movers and shakers in this country. It's greatness is due to the government not being involved

Has anyone noticed how Obama has switched his tone lately. Calling America the greatest country on earth, we have the best universities, the best scientist. I admit I had to chew on a handful of Tums to get through listening to just five minutes of his pandering yesterday. Is this the same Obama that did an apology tour, shamed American companies for being lazy, insulted people who build their own businesses? Biden and Obama have pandering to the crowd down pat.

Excellent summary of an unfit president, perhaps of a dictator as well. Looking at the world's dictators and their apparent similarities I see egocentric, arrogant, limited people. OMG, Obeyme didn't build that. He has someone to thank for all of his achievements. GASP ...

His mother conceived him with a married man (whether his father was Frank Marshall Davis or Obama Sr, the description fits for both.)

She nurtured him with the help of his Muslim step-father through whom he learned the terminology and love for Islam.

His grandparents wound up raising him back in Hawaii where he hooked back up with Davis who mentored him and certainly taught him all about the socialist adventure

He did drugs supplied by his dealer in high school and college and per his own words he did drugs and skipped classes.

So how did he have good enough grades to get accepted to a college in California where he did drugs and skipped classes. Who paid that tuition? Some say a Fulbright Scholarship for a foreign exchange student, but we don't know because he won't release his records.

And how did he get into Columbia and who paid his tuition there? He did drugs and skipped classes and then wound up at Harvard Law School. How were his grades good enough to get there? Oh, could he have been an affirmative action ...

And how did he get into Columbia and who paid his tuition there? He did drugs and skipped classes and then wound up at Harvard Law School. How were his grades good enough to get there? Oh, could he have been an affirmative action student? Did he graduate? Probably, but how did he get any grades worth a crap? Hmmmm, affirmative action graduate again? Who knows, he won't release his records.

So, he winds up in Chicago, working for peanuts after his grand world tour, wait a minute, What passport did he use to go to Pakistan to visit his buddies? American passports weren't allowed at the time. Hmmmm, Did he use his Indonesian passport? Did he become an Indonesian citizen back in his youth via his mother? Who knows, he won't release his records.

Geez, maybe THAT's it. The pattern here is clear. Someone along the way has always supported him and given him MORE than a helping hand. He can't do anything on his own because he has never had to. Even in his "public" life as a community organizer, buying his home, joining the church of what's happening in black Chicago, getting his law license, surrendering his law license (chickie poo wife surrendered hers too), running for the senate, there was always someone to pick up the tab and who was very questionable in their morals and ethics. Khalidi, Ayers, Rezko, criminals with a helping hand. Then enter more socialist individuals with questionable backgrounds and a plan like Jarrett, Soros, his czars. Geez, even with a scumball past this nonentity and hollow shell reached the most powerful position in the world.

And now here we sit with a man of questionable ethics, morals, scrupples, and little loyalty to America telling us how to live and die, all according to his dictates.

Just remember, he did it all with a helping hand. So generous of him to lend a helping hand to Americans. After all, Americans can't do anything on their own, at least according to him.
