If Ron Paul does not get the Nomination I will not be writing him in. I will not support Romney or Obama, I will be voting for Gary Johnson. Everything I have read about him make me believe that he follows the same beliefs as I do of Liberty and Freedom. I know this will make a lot of you angry with me and probably UN-friend me but I have put a lot of thought into this. The libertarian party has done good this year making sure that their candidate gets on all 50 state ballots. So if we can get enough people behind Gary Johnson it is possible to still get a liberty minded individual in the white house this year. If Ron Paul is unable to get the nomination at Tampa I will be voting for Gary Johnson.

Gary started off modest as a handyman and built it to a buisiness, the good kind of "rich guy" not the inherited type.

Okay everybody, I am not jumping ship, there is a lawsuit that is trying to free up all delegates. If this happens than there is a chance we can still win him the nomination, however if he does not get the nomination or does not run third party I will be voting third party and going with Johnson who will ask Paul to be his VP so we could still get Paul in the office. Writing Paul in will get us nowhere other than to prove we aren't fighting for an idea we are fighting for a man. It was never about Ron Paul, it was about freedom and Liberty he was only our spokesperson.

That is totally up to you Teri, you get to vote for anyone you desire. I've been for Paul way to long to give up. Out of the 2 Paul has a lot more followers , and the chances of a Libertarian being president are pretty slim. But who knows? A lot can happen between now and then. You didn't have to do a poll though, I knew already!

I'm only going the third party if Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination or if he doesn't run third party. If he does one of those two things he will have my vote.

I see where you are coming from and you may be correct about Rand, but as I see it Rand should have waited until after Tampa to endorse anyone, let alone another Big government Shill running against Ron Paul. That move has caused many a person to question Rand's motives on the timing alone, I am but one example, this could have been avoided.
You are welcome to vote for whoever you like but me, I will be writing in Ron Paul. I will do so on principle. I can't vote for big Government shills and I cannot vote for anyone who supports the Federal reserve System. Doesn't matter if Ron wins or not, my voice will be among the many that will be recorded and counted, don't care if the number is made public or not but I can hope that someone in power will see that number, that it is significant and crap their pants as a result.

I shared your sentiment until I learned that write-in votes are counted for nothing and are thrown in the trash. If you stand by the principles of Ron Paul then vote Gary Johnson as he will be on the ballot and you will still be sending a clear message that Obama nor Romney are good enough.

I see no reason to critize you on voting for Johnson if Paul doesn't make it. Since Johnson is still supporting similar ideals to Paul I see no reason to feel angry with you about switching your choice from one Libertarian to another. I appreciate your honesty though. Have a good night, Teri.

While I understand your feelings, I will write in Dr. Paul, if he is not on the ballot.

As horrible as Obamoney and Rmoney are... Gary Johnson, is more Republican than Libertarian.

Contrary to Ron Paul's platforms, Gary Johnson supports keeping GITMO open, "humanitarian" war, giving foreign aid to Israel, the "Fair Tax", accepting federal matching funds for his campaign, aggressive and intrusive regulation of small restaurants, keeping the Federal Reserve system, the death penalty...and the list goes on.

This goes against Libertarian tenets, and some of the planks in the Liberty Platform.

If he was the candidate... you would not be settling.

Do as you wish, I will vote the cause.

This party has a strong Christian foundation, as I remember when it was formed. I can't say, if that is still paramount in their platform. If that reflects your personal feelings then vote your conscious.

Hopefully, he feels as Ron Paul does...

"My goal was to shrink the size of government, balance our budget, pay the bills, have sound money and live within our means and mind our own business..." Ron Paul

If you stand by the principles of Ron Paul then vote Gary Johnson as he will be on the ballot and you will still be sending a clear message that you refuse to vote the status quo. Let's see how things pan out.

They do count the write in votes. Don't you remember how they list the Mickey Mouse, etc. votes. The election laws requires all votes being counted.

I'm very concerned about the flip-floppers, within our ranks, sending the message of weak support for the cause.

This is bigger than any candidate.

That being said, any vote for anyone other than Obama, or Romney... works for me!

People keep saying there is no viable third party but they have yet to answer the question why is that, so I will answer it for them, the reason there isn't a viable third party is because the American Voter doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to break away from a two party system and say enough is enough, if Ron Paul does not get the nomination, I will vote Gary Johnson.

There is no problem with that. I dont see why you would be afraid of us disowning you. Its not like you endorsed Willard and betrayed us all. You are still supporting a candidate that supports you and will likely do some good for this nation.

As for the man in the video. I only agree on his ABO stance. Rand has never been his father, and honestly he's just a slick talker playing political games. We dont need him in this revolution. Political games have no place in this revolution. The reason Ron Paul became so powerful in politics is because of his no compromise stance, the fact that he'd never endorse a fraud puppet of the NWO, and Rand would be nothing without his father's legacy. By pissing it all away, he shows that he doesnt even understand that the way to win this war is honesty and integrity - not playing the dark side's little games.

I was "for" Gary Johnson from the beginning. For one thing, he's much better at getting things done. I've stuck with Ron Paul only because as a republican the odds were better for him there. IF Paul is really pulling out of the race, they RINO's have no appeal, and I'll be delighted to work for Johnson. Next step then will be to pull the Paul fans over to the Libertarians, which should be easy because they already ARE!

I am tiered of voting a in a two party system, it has done nothing for this country we just keep going back to democrat/republican. Both the damn party's are corrupt and the only reason it would be throwing away my vote is because stupid people still believe in the two party system and voting the lesser evil. if everyone got behind a third party candidate instead of the establishment candidates and voted that person in, it wouldn't be a wasted vote. It would be "thank god people woke up and aren't sheeple" vote.

There is no viable alternative to Obama in the republican party anymore. We only have a so-called republican that supports everything Obama does. We get 4 more years of Obama regardless of which party we support.

It is really sad that so many people think Mitt will be their savior. If he wins, you will see that things will not get better they will just get worse. Obama was voted in because people thought he would be better than Bush and look what happened, if Mitt gets voted in its because people think he will be better than Obama but he wont be, he will be worse. Than everyone will go back to the democrats hoping for change and so on and so on until this country has a dictator! Staying with the democratic or republican party is sticking with the establishment. At least I will be able to tell my children that I did not vote for the two party's that ended their freedoms.

Teri, the only way I might accept this horrid choice is if Romney nominates a high quality VP. Assigns Ron Paul to secretary of the treasury/FED.

In other words, Mittens needs to put the best people on staff like Reagan did.
