Al-Qaeda Seeks Botox For Weapons: End Botox Production?

Jackie January 25, 2010 17:10:34
Yes, botox production must stop. Not worth the risk!
No, botox production should be able to continue. Botox is a drug, not a weapon!
I think botox production...
You!

Botox, a drug for several types of treatments including anti-aging, could potentially be used as an ingredient for terrorist weaponry. The botulinum toxin found in botox is one of the deadliest poisons on the planet, and a single drop of the toxin could kill someone. Of course, the drug itself is not a weapon, containing only a small amount of the actual toxin. However, access to the ingredients could lead to devastating results.

If the wrong people were put in charge of a botox plant, they would have access to the botulinum toxin and the capability to build powerful weapons. Al-Qaeda is already known to have sought after the toxin, and, with a botox plant, the terrorists could have an unlimited supply.

Should Botox production cease to prevent access to an ingredient for deadly weapons?

Good point Nicole~M - the Demorats will probably use this to tax Botox... I think we should just kill all the terrorists.

No way dude , the few hundreds or even thousands that “may” die from a terrorist attack with BOTOX are a small price to pay so that our aging crazy liberal actors can postpone their decline for a few more years....

Almost anything can be used as a weapon.

So, as long as there are appropriate safety precautions in place like there are for most things in this country which can be used as weapons, production should continue.

The vanity of botox users is laughable in itself. Shut it down, and vanity be damned.

Wait, hold on a minute. You say:

"If the wrong people were put in charge of a botox plant, they would have access to the botulinum toxin and the capability to build powerful weapons."

By the same logic, if the wrong people were in charge of a missile plant, they would have access to explosives and the capability to build actual weapons. Thank you. It's nice to see a conservative that believes we should stop producing weapons in this country.

I think Botox users Pelosi, Reid and Hanoi John Kerry, et al, should be forced to undergo daily Botox injections after the terrorists are running the factory.

Oh, goodness. I had no idea you were going to make it this easy.

That was sarcasm, not a suggestion. It alluded to the irony of paranoia over botox plants "In the wrong hands" used as a weapon. Anything is a weapon in the wrong hands. Box-cutters took down the World Trade Center. We don't need to be paranoid over terrorists taking over botox plants if we're not already paranoid over them taking over weapons plants. Get it?

On critical thinking. Labeling Americans with different political opinions as aides to our enemies is clearly quite far from critical thinking. Jumping to his defense because he shares your political views is equally distant.

Think about it. The fact that someone has different political views than you does not make them your enemy.
  • Ladnar Froggy January 26, 2010 02:09:52
    Ladnar
Umm, nice try. Not all views are created equal. Sometimes “different” means aiding our enemies.

LOL.. nice try at a do over.

As for defending anyone, you make the mistake of assuming I was. There was nothing in my comment to you about anything or anyone other than you and what you said.
Another assumption you make is that I share political views with the person you assumed I was defending.

Wow... talk about fuzzy thinking! Or is it fuzzy reading?

But you will be happy to know that I do agree with your last statement.
    Cheers!

This is just getting annoying. Everything can be used as a weapon no matter what it is. It can be used as a weapon in one form or another. Its the same as saying that everything, pretty much according to news reports it seems can cause cancer. I'm not worried about, and I'm not going to be a paranoid freak.

What if the terrorists get hold of a couple of the "housewives of Orange County" If the squeeze them hard enough there is enough Botox to fuel their plans.

Sure why not outlaw most the cleaning supplies under my sink as well... If we take away all the dangerous chemicals they will find a way to make weapons out of a tomato, rubberband, and a sponge. We are Infidels in there eyes they will stop at nothing to try to stop us.

There are many ingredients of other things that can also be used as weapons...and since this has been invented already there is no way to prevent the toxic substance from being developed for weapon usage.
