(CNN) — Here’s some good news for travelers who just can’t put down their cell phones.
Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will allow customers to make cell phone calls on certain overseas flights.
The service will be available to passengers on the airline’s new
Airbus A330 flying between New York and London. It will be expanded to
about 20 other planes in the fleet by the end of the year.
There are some restrictions, however. No calls can be made during
takeoff and landing — or within 250 miles of United States airspace. In
addition, only 10 people will be able to make calls at the same time
because of limited bandwidth.

Great! Nothing better than to be on a flight from NY to LA, cramped, with some jackass in the seat in front of you, reclined in your lap, and then the portly babe sitting next to you, takes a phone call and starts arguing loudly with her "baby Daddy" over his unpaid rent!reply
