USA, West Accused Of Having Libyan Oil In Mind.
A former Arab League Ambassador to the UN has said the West is delaying it condemnation of the recent repression in Libya due to its concerns over oil supplies from the country.
Clovis Maksoud has said the West has been reluctant to denounce repressions by Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi's regime "partly because of the oil factor."
Speaking to Press TV he said Gaddafi had been presenting his people with two options; either that he should be allowed to govern or to kill them.
Maksoud warned that any enforcement method used against Libya by the West should be authorised by the UN and should be in the form of an international force.
