Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad threatened once again to destroy Israel. "The nations of the region will soon finish off the usurper Zionists in the Palestinian land.... A new Middle East will definitely be formed. With the grace of God and help of the nations, in the new Middle East there will be no trace of the Americans and Zionists," he said.

Israel has support from the international community when even France defends Israel from Iranian rhetoric. French deputy foreign ministry spokesman Vincent Floreani said, "We firmly condemn these outrageous and totally unacceptable statements and we remind (Iran) that we would never allow the right of Israel to live in peace to be called into question."

It's quite simple. The holocaust denier who wants his own Jewish holocaust is meeting with Jews who reject a national Israel.

Jews who reject a national Israel are free to express their views because of a free, sovereign national Israel (and other democracies in which they reside).

Zionism, IMHO, is not an end in itself. The end is security for the Jewish people. The validity of Zionism is that it serves as a means to that end. I am not concerned with, and have no opinion of, any Zionism that goes beyond that end result. Waxing flaccid before a hostile world spared Jews from nothing historically. I believe God has preserved them, and I believe Zionism is part of how that was accomplished by God--along with a few badass F-15s.

And the attack will only set Iran back a few years. Isreal's long range prospects are gloomy.

If they wish to engage in a conventional attack... let them! Just don't sacrifice anymore American lives, to defend foreign borders, without a congressional declaration. No more ececutive orders, or United Nation edicts, costing the American taxpayer trillions, to support the profiteers of the military-industrial complex. Or a single American life.
