+9This is about more than just healthcare, the SCOTUS has said that Congress can make us do or buy whatever government deems appropriate. Liberals see this as a win but what will they think when it's not their party in charge? Will they be so trusting and compliant? Today the last scrap of the US Constitution was burned.

He may JUST have slammed the door on the re-election prospects of one Barack Hussein Obama and handed the White House,, AND the Congress,, over to the Republicans..
Then it won't MATTER that the mandate and indeed,, the LAW itself,, in unconstitutional or not.. It will be Constitutionally REPEALED as per the WILL of WE,, the People and replaced with another plan that actually SOLVES the problems with Health Care in America instead of INCREASING them exponentially as Obamacare has done...

Chief Justice Roberts: “It Is Not Our Job to Protect the People From the Consequences of Their Political Choices”
A clear message from Roberts -- Now we must vote the liar in the WH out!!
The biggest mandate is the one that I have to pay more for my insurance to cover the spongers. Now, with the tax on them, it lessens the mandate on me. That's a good thing and should be embraced by the right who claim to hate spongers.
Most people don't understand the role of the Supreme Court and the very narrow scope of their decision or what their decision means.
They didn't rule on whether the law is a good one, is well written, or is enforceable. They just rule on whether the law circumvents, or otherwise negates or is in conflict with the Constitution.
What the Supreme Court ruled was that this law is constitutional ONLY IF OBAMA LIED.
Obama got the bill put into law (through reconciliation....it did not pass both houses) on the basis that individual mandate "fine" was NOT a tax, but rather a fine as allowed under the Commerce Clause.
Obama told Congress and "we the people" that is was a Fine. Obama's lawyers told the Supreme Court that it was a tax.
The Supreme Court said that the Commerce Clause did not apply and that IF it's a tax, then it's within the powers of Congress to levy such a tax.
So, I'm not sure who this is a victory for. In order for Obama to claim victory, he has to admit that he lied about it being a tax.... "read my lips, it's not a tax" lol
I think the Supreme Court did it's job, but unfortunately when the President puts forth laws that are so poorly written, there will always be unintended consequences.

What I find most noteworthy is what the republicans are saying in statements and tweets. After Citizens United, Obama criticized the SCOTUS. The Republican Party pounced on this as disrespectful -- saying it was out of line to say the Supreme Court was wrong.
Fast forward to today... Republicans are criticizing SCOTUS right and left. Apparently, what they meant before was that it is disrespectful if *Democrats* criticize SCOTUS -- but not if Republicans do.
I'm not saying Democrats are never hypocrites... I've lived long enough to know they are. But just now the Republicans are hypocrites on steroids...
