That is the most horrific thing that could every happen, the biggest worry when doing something like that in the first place is that the rope and the support harness supporting him would have to be securely in place. That poor man, when doing stunts like hanging someone is to make sure, and double check is that the safety harness is working in proper condition before going through with it. That actor will be missed!
.....If you wonder why the rest of the cast waited for FOUR minutes before expressing concern. This bloke must have had no mates at all for this to be allowed to go on for so long.
I don't understand why he didn't have a safty harness or something on....when we americans reenact something for a play we at least have all the actors safty in mind....no offense to them..just saying
Fait or foul??? A person is dead. Of course it's not fair. Would it have been fair for Angie to die when she curved that bullet? Or die of AIDS because she reenacted it? Or how about war reenactments? If they died would it be fair? Come on now.
An actor dying on stage in front of an audience during a passion play? Strangling is not fun. Strangling while no one realizes and help is an instant away? The idea makes me feel horror. During a *Passion Play*? Did you see the video from the local news? (not available in the BBC version) GAH

Or does typing count?
