    This is ridiculous
    As long as it is in her body you have no say, and it is not a person it is a parasitic mass of cells. It is sickening that you think paying "child support" is some how equivalent to going through nine months of pregnancy giving birth then being a full time parent
    The man had choices too He could wear a condom, have a vasectomy, or not have sex with women who do not share his views on what to do if she got pregnant all things related to HIS BODY

    Dude, chill. It is their choice. If I had a baby at like 16, then yes, I probably would get an abortion or put the child up for adoption. If you don't like it, don't do it.

    If a woman gets pregnant and does not want the child because she is not ready or it would be a bother to her party life then she should not abort it. Before she gives it up she should find out if the father wants it and if he does then she can give their child to him and she can pay child support just like the men should be doing. If she is going to have major health problems from going through the pregnancy, the child is going to be so deformed that it will never have a life worth living, if she was raped, and if a girl/woman is so mentally unstable that it would ruin them further, then a choice for abortion is right. There are circumstances in which it is right and circumstances in which it is wrong. I have a friend who had an abortion because she just did not want a child and If I have met people who had to have on because it would have killed them to remain pregnant. If my friend had just stayed pregnant she could have either offered the child to the father ( though the one she got pregnant by did not care ) she could have given the child to the one who was forced to have an abortion in order to live.

    @Doreen Questions:

    1. I don't like the term rape, and the fact that there are laws predicated on that term because the term is not based on anything scientific, and as usual nothing governments do is up to scientific standards, we would have a much better world if governments were held to scientific standards.

    However since you choose to use the term, we'll go with that for now. How does that justify infanticide? If she doesn't want the child, why can't she simply give the child up for adoption or leave the child at a hospital?

    2. Abortion for the sake of her health: Really, Seriously? Women are anatomically built for pregnancy, if that were not the case, our species would have gone extinct a long time ago. Any species alive today deserves more credit than that.

    Now having said that, for the sake of argument, let's say she does have a physical condition cause by being pregnant which I have a very difficult imagining what that would be, how would abortion resolve that? A surgical procedure puts women at VERY high risk of breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, uteran cancer, and no telling what else since there are a lot of women who end up dying within 6 months after the surgical procedure probably due to the none stop pregnancy hormone production in her body for no reason and that happens as a result of the surgical procedure. So how is this good for a woman's physical health? Explain that one.

    I am sure ( in fact very sure ) that a woman getting the crap beaten out of her, kicked, hair pulled, and being forced on the ground having her pants yanked off so a man can forcefully shove his penis into her vagina does not like the term rape either. Where does science come into the picture of raping ( whatever the hell you want to call it )? Do you expect that mother to keep the pregnancy of a child conceived in violence? If the rapist found out she was pregnant from his violent rape on her he could force her to keep the child and keep tabs on the pregnancy ( continuing the control on her ). When she has the baby he can take the baby and force her to pay for child support ( another stab of continued control ). Sake of her health? Yes, I am serious. There are still women who die from child birth ( in the USA ) because their bodies are not as strong as most. Some women have heart problems that can not handle the stress of a pregnancy. Some women have brain issues which cannot handle the stress of a pregnancy ( much less the birth itself ). The body is a complicated machine ( scientifically speaking ) and there are cases when what is normal for most is dangerous for a few. If my friend is pregnant and she finds out that if she goes through with the pregnancy it will ...

If my friend is pregnant and she finds out that if she goes through with the pregnancy it will kill her because of a weak heart is she just supposed to have that child anyway? A woman can chose to or not to have a surgery to keep her alive or healthy she should also have the choice of keeping a pregnancy or terminating it if it is going to kill her. Science has absolutely nothing to do with a woman's right to do what she wants or does not want.
