I am disappointed in myself and other Americans right now because so many Americans hate each other. We used to pull together. My mom and dad never hated each other because mom was a republican and dad was a democrat. They were both Americans and loved our country.

We're from the same generation. I was born under Truman and followed politics from the time I could understand what it was and that was in the Eisenhower era. I can honestly say that I have never, ever see this country so full of hate and so divided in my lifetime. It scares the hell out of me. I have voted for Democrats and Republicans over the the course of the last 40+ years and now they're like two armed camps trying to stare each other down while the country goes to pot and they don't seem to even care. We're in trouble big time and we had better figure a way out or the USA as we remember it will be toast.
