A Senate candidate from the Party of God asserted that women have the superpower to repel rape sperm. Do facts matter to the Full-of-Faith?

Please vote on my polls:

1) 31 percent of Americans, many of whom are white evangelical men, believe that God is steering the United States economy. Why then did the Christian God curse the U.S. economy during the period when his own party was in power?

2) What is more mind-boggling: that eighty five percent of our finest scientists don’t believe in God or that fifteen percent still do?

Bigotry and "because the Bible said so" seem to trump any reasoning skills. I think certain religious leaders abuse a religion for their own gain; not every follower is as 'dedicated' to their leader's cause, but force themselves to conform to continue fitting in. Some followers, on the other hand, are mindlessly stupid and will use vague holy scriptures to promote their own way.

Technically, isn't it possible for a woman's reproduction system to close itself off because of stress or other things? However, this is not an instant process that can prevent pregnancy during a sudden rape.

Biology doesn't work that way, and in cases where the reproductive system shuts down due to stress, MANY other systems shut down too, which can be fatal.

"Two thousand years ago, the Talmud noted (Avodah Zarah, 54b) that if a man has intercourse with his neighbor's wife, although justice would demand that she not get pregnant, the world goes on its way."

The Talmud? Really, I mean REALLY?

"All the gods are impotent and evil, even the merciful god of the Koran."

That is because the Abrahamic religions use the same God. Each just has different take on what he said and to whom he was speaking.

Insulated and isolated by design and for the most part intent, from reality. However, to many, a consistent and redundant application of a misnomer makes it a fact. Whatever the problem is, it is probably hard to pronounce.
