I think achieving world peace would be more likely..........hope to retire someday before I'm in a nursing home eating baby food and wearing diapers.

People don't need social security, they need well paying jobs and investment accounts that allow them to make decisions as to where every one of their retirement dollars go.

I think that if you are healthy and capable that it should be required for you to have some type of plan in writing for your retirement, that way the government won't have to supplement your retirement.

Disclaimer, I am excluding the people who have a need for "supplemental help" for health reasons , being widowed, or other legitimate reasons.

I read a quote somewhere that goes something like this

"For every dollar the government gives to one man, he must first take a dollar from another man."
