A good reason to vote against Obama - High Maintenance! It cost ~ 243 times as much to maintain America's "Royal Family" as it costs to maintain Great Britain's

Obama and Family Cost Taxpayers 1.4 Billion Dollars Last Year

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On September 27, 2012 @ 3:40 pm In The Point

Hello Britain, can we have your royal family back? Sorry about that revolution thing, but it turns out that ours just costs too much.

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from
staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his
family last year. In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8
million on the royal family.

Gray told The Daily Caller that the $1.4 billion spent on the Obama
family last year is the “total cost of the presidency,” factoring the
cost of the “biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever,” a 50
percent increase in the numbers of appointed czars and an Air Force One
“running with the frequency of a scheduled air line.”

But come on. Bo needs his taxpayer paid staffer.

The president’s dog gets its own high-paid staffer: “Bo
made the news when he and his handler were flown to join the president
on vacation in Maine,”
Gray wrote about the Obama family dog. “It has
been reported that the first family’s dog handler was paid $102,000,
last year.”

Just wait till Obama appoints Bo to the Senate or the Supreme Court.

These figures mean that the Cost of Obama is about 0.1 percent of the annual deficit. Now there’s a deficit cutting solution.

Comment:
So maintaining the British Royal Family costs only 0.41% of the amount
that maintaining the U.S. "Royal Family" costs? I'd gladly swap!

This estimate is not even close.

The British royal family did not run up the national debt by $1.5 trillion per year, so the real cost ratio is over 25,000.

Obama needs to raise taxes because Michelle has made some more vacation plans.

LOL! What Obama doesn't understand about the economy is that higher tax rates seldom translate to higher tax revenues. In the eight years after Reagan lowered the tax rates, revenues nearly doubled. Economists know that the only way to get rid of our enormous deficits is to grow the economy, and higher taxes will not do that.

The estimate is for the cost of the President and his family, not the U.S. budget.

Jimmy did - he turned down the White House thermostats and wore a sweater. He also carried his own (empty) luggage for show! Dims can't help themselves - they are all phony bastards.

Yeah, I was reading about the empty luggage. I also hear he appears with a hammer and then has a picture and goes away for habitat.

Hey, there, you British "republicans" (As in: United Republic of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.) Warning: you might not save nearly as much money as you think.
