No death have been attributed to marijuana.
Aspirin kills more people then marijuana about 7,500 every year.
Even if Marijuana was dangerous wouldn't our government want to regulate instead of some drug cartel. If marijuana was made legal we would take the tax profits from drug cartel essentially shutting them down.
Yet, we would rather spend billions on a drug war that we aren't winning instead of spending that money on fixing our budget in California.
Even if we don't legalize marijuana at least stop the drug war.
I can walk to any high school and find any drug I want, its disgusting.
How many have died as a result of alcohol overdose?
Which is the legal drug???
Man is not.
Man made liquor
and God made pot!
I AM NOT SURE HOW I STAND. DON'T DO IT MYSELF NOW.
I just came home from a holiday to Amsterdam where it is regulated and taxed, it doesn't cost the buyer more as you pay less with tax than you would street prices and it is controlled, it is not cut with industrial oil (hash) and it frees up prison space and stops the crime which is related to trafficking of drugs, besides it is no more harmful than cigarettes and alcohol, (I'm sorry, but anyone who says any different has not properly researched it, smoked it or even considered any statistics) and when the government can claim tax from it you are making, not spending and police and prison for cannabis.
Cannabis has been smoked throughout history and in many cultures is an everyday part of life. And it is not psychologically addictive.
The health benefits outweigh the almost non-existent negatives, sure everybody knows someone that is a bit mashed up from smoking pot but these are people who have smoked an 1/8 everyday for years, eating chocolate everyday has negative effects.

I am all for the persecution of hard drugs like cocaine and heroin that are harmful and highly addictive but with dope you may as well be trying to make aspirin illegal.
It has been proved that prohibition doesn't work, legalise it, tax it.
