    was just getting up for the day and turned tv on, watched the 2nd pland hit, I called all my kids, and my parents, I took it so hard because I knew 2 of the people on the 1st one that hit, I cleaned one of the ladys house every week, It was really hard knowing I was going to clean it for the last time. I love Allen Jacksons song where where you, I did alot of things in that song, he hit it right on the button on what people where doing. my heart still cries for the people who didn't make it, Bless them and their familys,

    not sure, I remember watching it on the news while I was in daycare and thinking : who cares about a building burning? now that i look back and see how much it means. . . I'm just so astonished.

    I just flew from LaGuardia to Regan airport in D.C. driving by the Pentagon when the plan ramed into the building. I can't say anything else than it was horrific.

    I was in 3rd grade and I remember all the kids in my class getting picked up early and it wasnt until my mom picked me up and I got home that I realized what happened because the teachers werent allowed to tell us anything and it was a really scary time.

    I was at work. There was no tv so we just all stayed glued to a radio all day until work ended then I went home and watched it on tv. What a terrible day it was.

    I remember I had just woke up and my exgirlfriend motioned me over to the tv. At first I just thought it was some tv show she was watching until I realized it was the news. I lived out by Chicago at that time and as I watched one of the planes crash into the building I couldn't believe what I saw. I seriously thought this was some prank until the second plane came in and finished off the building. It was the buzz of the small town I was in for almost a month. I feel really sorry for those people in the building and on the planes.

    I was babysitting my grandson and watching Fox News,right after the first tower was hit my daughter called to make sure I was watching.I stayed glued to the TV for days;cried,prayed, and grieved for the innocent people murdered in that most horrible manner.Prayed for the firemen and policemen and the volunteers that came from all over the country.Thanked God for men,and their pure grit in working past exhaustion in that hellhole,and for the Red Cross/Salvation Army/other volunteers who fed and provided comfort items for them.What an inspiring example of people working together!!!And I never will forget Pres.Bush's speeches during that awful time;Thank God he was president!!!!

    standing in the break room staring at the small TV in disbelief. My aunt was on her way to work in Liberty Park (NJ, right across the way from the towers) and witnessed the whole thing. :'{

    Living on the west coast at the time with ex bf and his kid. We got a call to turn on the TV. They were just covering that the first tower had been hit, we were getting ready for work and getting his daughter ready for school. Saw the second tower get hit. I will never forget this, I was brushing her hair in front of the TV and she asked me "Are we watching a movie?" and I told her no baby this is really happening, that's New York. Then the first tower collapsed. Then she asked me if there were people still inside, I told her most likely yes. She was only 9. No one else would explain that horrible day to her, so she asked me, and I was the one who had to tell her. Explain the gravity of it, that will stick with me forever.

    I was just coming out of school to go round my best friend's house (he's an American (I'm English) so it effected him more directly) and I remember coming up to him mum's car and she looked so stressed.
    We got in the car and she told us to be quiet so we could listen to the news on the radio.
    I didn't fully understand what was going on until we got back to his house and saw i on TV.
    It was unbelievable...like something out of an over-the-top action movie.

    i was at school in year 5 and only the year 6's and above were allowed to watch it on the telly and the other boarders had to wait until we went home 2 weeks later to find out what happened because the older kids weren't allowed to tell us.

    I was a junior in high school, and sitting in Spanish class goofing off as usual. Then we had to turn on the t.v....My heart dropped. My dad was scheduled to be flying that day to California on that flight. I immediately called my mom, who informed me that his flight had been changed. One of the scariest moments of my life.

    My boyfriend (now my husband) and I were getting ready for class and I went to the living room to grab something and there it was on the TV. It was very scary because at the time my mom was a flight attendant for American and she was on a trip when it happened. No one knew where she was, and no one could get a hold of her. We were relieved when we heard that she was ok, but I feel horrible for the people who did lose loved ones.

    I was late for work. Driving there in a hurry with the CD player on I wondered what all these people were standing around for. Went in, started my work and said hello to my boss's wife. He was away on business, turns out in Europe. She looks freaked out and says "John's coming back today!". The boss has a temper and was universally feared, by those who didn't work for him even more than those who did. I said woah I didn't know people were that worried! Then she explained what was going on and I went next door to watch TV.

    My friend, living in the apartment above, came knocking at the door to tell me about it...i flipped on the tube after the first building was hit but before the second. My uncle was flying similar routes that day for United Airlines...was a crazy day.
