8 Of 10 Doctors May Resign Due To Obama Care

snell PWCM/AVA~GOD & COUNTRY!!! 2012/07/12 04:21:54
IF YOU LEFT A COMMENT: PLS. RAVE THE BLOG - THX ;-)
doctors quittingThe Doctor Patient Medical Association
conducted a survey of doctors across the country. The survey took
place from April 18 through May 22 of this year and was conducted on
line and by fax. Of the 30,000 fax numbers of doctors in active
clinical practices, 16,227 doctors successfully received the faxed
survey. Of these, only 699 physicians completed the survey either by
fax or going on line.

The results of those that responded indicated an overwhelming belief
that Obamacare will be a complete disaster and that many of them are
seriously considering leaving their medical practices because of it.
Here are some of the statistics gathered from the survey:

  • 90% say the medical system is on the WRONG TRACK
  • 83% say they are thinking about QUITTING
  • 61% say the system challenges their ETHICS
  • 85% say the patient-physician relationship is in a TAILSPIN
  • 65% say GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT is most to blame for current problems
  • 72% say individual insurance mandate will NOT result in improved access care
  • 49% say they will STOP accepting Medicaid patients
  • 74% say they will STOP ACCEPTING Medicare patients, or leave Medicare completely
  • 52% say they would rather treat some Medicaid/Medicare patient for FREE
  • 57% give the AMA a FAILING GRADE representing them
  • 1 out of 3 doctors is HESITANT to voice their opinion
  • 2 out of 3 say they are JUST SQUEAKING BY OR IN THE RED financially
  • 95% say private practice is losing out to CORPORATE MEDICINE
  • 80% say DOCTORS/MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS are most likely to help solve things
  • 70% say REDUCING GOVERNMENT would be single best fix.

When you combine all of the responses from the doctors that took time
to fill out the survey, it says that they want the government out of
medical profession and that Obamacare will not work. Therefore, 83% say
that they are thinking about quitting their medical practices. They
don’t want to be told by the government how to treat their patients and
they don’t want to have to wade through mountains of paperwork the
government will require.

Three quarters of them say that they will stop taking Medicaid
patients because of Obamacare. The program, supported by the U.S.
Supreme Court calls for extending the number of people that will fall
under Medicaid coverage, but if 3 of every 4 doctors quit accepting
Medicaid patients, it won’t matter how much the coverage is extended as
there won’t be any doctors to treat them.

It also shows that the majority of doctors in private practices are
barely surviving financially and that they feel that under all of the
demands and restrictions of Obamacare that there is no way for them to
avoid losing money. This is the reason so many of them are considering
the option of walking away from their practices.

If this survey is any indication of what is coming with the
implementation of Obamacare, it spells out the complete collapse of the
medical industry in America. The only places where anyone will be able
to receive treatment will be in corporate medical facilities, which
means longer waiting to get in to see the doctor and longer waiting for
any testing, surgeries and or other procedures.

Chances are you will never see the same doctor twice which means that
none of them will be familiar with your health and any medical
conditions. This impersonal form of medicine increases the likelihood
of missed diagnosis, wrong treatments, wrong prescriptions, and more
malpractice issues. We will no longer be patients with names and real
lives as we’ll just be a number to the government run doctors.

The saddest and most discouraging aspect of this survey is that even
if you shoved it in the face of Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi, it
wouldn’t change their minds on anything. With those two continually
telling lies about what Obamacare really is, the truth won’t matter to
them until it becomes history, and even then they’ll blame others and
point their fingers at someone else. Unless we can get a Republican
president and Senate in November’s election, the medical world in
America will collapse and take the nation down with it.

And that's the benefit of a free economy and enterprise system. Of course new clinics will "pop up" that don't take medicaid/Medicare as physicians are permitted to engage with the government or remain in private practice and accept cash-only patients, sort of like high-end plastic surgeons providing elective surgeries. No one is forcing the physicians to do anything they don't want, despite the incorrect rhetoric being repeated by folks who obviously didn't read the plan (you admit you didn't read it and incorrectly believe no one else did either) but are repeating what they heard, what they were told and what they wish to believe instead of making up their own mind after reading the plan. No physician is going to be forced to do anything he/she doesn't want. They are free to participate or not. A suggestion: read the plan. Of course, it's much easier to blindly rail against something one knows nothing or little (except what others say) about.

I don't think anyone read the plan, as Justice Kennedy (I think) said, it would be cruel and unusual punishment. I didn't dream up Pelosi saying "We have to pass it so we can see what's in it ..." either, at some 2-3000 pages when you include all the added on provisions, I don't believe anyone understands it.

No, I've read enough, I'm not going to make a year long study of it. The court has neutered it and I'm not going to participate, they can tax me for not doing so, but there's no way to collect. Not to mention that Nepolitano (I think) earlier said one major part couldn't be implemented.

You're right, doctors don't have to participate, states don't have to bend under the pressure of getting their funds withheld, and the IRS can't go after those individuals who don't pay the TAX, because there's no mechanism to force them.

Economics, the market, will force it's failure.

The government got into the health care business for the MONEY it can get from us. The health care industry has been one of the fastest growing and largest in the country. It is being socialized by the government contrary to the Constitution.

How can libtards not watch and listen to obaaaama and know that health care WILL be rationed? obaaaama said it, the elderly will suffer and NOT get the care. Who else will NOT get the care? People who are registered to vote a certain way? Just like Hitler's Germany.

Elderly are retiring and the others can make more money elsewhere. I know a couple that retired before they were planning to and that's the reason they gave. This plan is going to kill people due to neglect and inexperienced providers that are willing to have the government dictate what they do..

Are you maintaining more or less people will die with this plan, as more than 195,000 people are dying now each year from direct mistakes caused by the lousy (and falling in rank) health care system we now have? http://www.medicalnewstoday.c... Riddle me this ... why do the other industrialized nations with national health care rank well above us?

Is it a lack of understanding of the empirical data used to compile the rankings of industrialized nations in regards to health care quality that is preventing you from answering the question? Let's try it again, shall we? Why do so many other countries rank higher than ours?

I posted this once before and a lady doctor responded; she said Medicare takes up to one year to pay her and even then she is lucky to get 25 cents on the dollar. But our Givement wants US to blame the insurance companies and people skipping out on ER bills.

Government involvement in the healthcare industry is the single BIGGEST reason whiole pricing is so inflated. the more we extract government from it, the more level the pricing will be. Yes, I am talking Medicare, Medicaid and the FDA!

I already lost our family doctor within months of Obamacare being passed. He had practiced medicine in Canada and said no way. The replacement that we were referred to decided she was leaving practice before we even managed to see her. Then we spent weeks trying to find a doctor that would except new patients. When we talked to the receptionist, she looked at us and said " You realize that doctors in ......... are down by about 10 percent?"

Besides that, what doctors are left in our city are leaving private offices and going into big co-ops to help them deal with Obamacare. Now, we are treated like cattle and it takes weeks to get an appointment. So much for all this preventive medicine obamacare was supposed to give us. I also hate to see what happens when you actually get sick, take an aspirin and call a priest?

That's right .. We will no longer accept Medicare and Medicaid! After 23 years in private practice in this community most of his patients will have no problem
paying upfront and reimbursed out of network. We are
assisting our Medicare patients in finding a new pcp~
we will not see Medicaid patients whatsoever. You really have no clue as to what your talking about and what "plan" did you read to become an expert in starting a medical practice? Lol

My credentials are irrelevant and of interest only to yourself. When one is unable to provide an answer to their claims or intelligently continue debating or discussing a subject often the initial, knee-jerk reaction is to focus on or attack the other as a means of obfuscation and avoidance. It is simpler to say you don't have the information. The irony is that you attempt to claim I know not of what I speak despite confirming the only manner of which this practice can operate (by accepting cash-only), exactly as I illustrated.
