74% of Americans Support Voter ID Laws: Do You?

BREITBART.COM reports:
One of the left's sillier temper tantrums is the fight against Voter ID laws. The law simply requires that a voter present a photo ID at the polling place, as a means to verify they are who they say they are. It is almost impossible to navigate daily life without a photo ID, yet the left argues that this burden is uniquely onerous. In their worldview, a person should be able to walk into the voting place, state a name and then vote without any verification the person is, in fact, that name. Fortunately, the American people loudly disagree.

I have to assume that those opposed to voter I.D. Laws merely wish to abet voter fraud, and are probably Democrats. It's their favorite tactic for stealing elections and has the tacit approval of the criminal attorney general Eric Holder.

I mean, to just SAY you're somebody, and get to vote..do they at least check the name against the rolls? This sounds fishy.

You need to show an ID for almost every important aspect of your life and ONLY when it is tied to voting does it become discrimination ! How is that possible ? It's not when you show it to buy cigarettes or alcohol. It's not when you cash a check or rent a ,car. It's not when you get a ticket or when you show it to pay the ticket. So how do all these people who are going to be discriminated against live without one ?

This "law" is an obvious attempt to make it harder for Democrates to vote. There is no evidence of wide spread voter fraud. It's a GOP " solution " in search of a problem, which in many cases is a poll tax. This is an attempt by the GOP to steal the next presidential election.

Democrats don't use I.D.? How do they buy drinks ? get into casinos ? DRIVE CARS ? I'm not a political guy, so I don't know, I'm just asking.

Many people who are eligible to vote don't drive or have license to do so. Many naturally born Americans can't locate thier birth certificates, due to adverse family issues and don't have state/goverment issued identification. Not all eligible voters fall in the same social demographics. The GOP has targeted the young, elderly, and poverty stricken disenfranchised eligible voters, with the hope of removing them from the ballot box by use of unnecessary voter ID laws.

Not all Democrats drink. Not all Democrats go to casinos. Not all Democrats have cars or can drive, some being disabled. Maybe some of those Democrats can give you a better answer to your question.

There has only been two cases of voter fraud since 2002. Pennsylvania Governor said he put in place voter id to deliver the state to Mitt Romney. His words not mine. Yes this is the way to keep the poor, elderly that want to keep their socialist medicare and social security intact from voting. its that simple!

No debate is necessary unless you are planning to steal the election ( the Democrats) by having your dead Grandma, Grandpa and the family dog voting. Prefect example is the child molesting pervert Al Franklin winning with the help of the mystery voters and convicts in prison.

I had to show a photo ID to verify my identity when I voted in my local primaries this month -- it was simple and painless and ensured that I am who I claimed to be. I am not seeing a reason for opposition?

They should require ID's to vote and the Voting Poll Volunteers should all ask and no excuses. When you use your credit card for any purchase employees should do the same and it should be at all facilities, there are too many fraudulent people.

Does any (legal) US citizen oppose voter ID laws?
You have to show id to check out a book at the library, to buy a bottle of beer, to get a motel room, and many less urgent activities.

My opinion is that not only should we enforce PICTURE id laws, but ban dual-citizenships.

No, because this measure would discourage the homeless from voting, many of whom are war veterans. They rarely have driver's licenses or SS cards. This law would not stop undocumented immigrants from voting because they have photo id.

I don't know any "war veteran" that doesn't have a photo ID, a SSN, or a United States flag, along with a patriotic story to go with them. If a homeless person can get to a voting booth, they can get to a place to get a photo ID, anyway.

The photo ID is NOT the only means of verifying citizenship. The person's name must be on the voter list & have been verified prior to election day. The photo ID compares the photo with the person presenting to vote, & the name on the photo with the name on the list.

Stop making excuses. The citizens of this country have a RIGHT to have their vote counted & not canceled out by someone's pet, dead relative, or an illegal immigrant. Liberals are always just looking at one side & not considering ALL Americans.

???? I don't trust people, & people make & manage machines, but until we can figure out a way to do without people, we've got what we've got & need to do the best we can within our limited capabilities. It would be best for fatalists & negative people like yourself to not step outside the confines of your home or psychiatric institute, as you contribute nothing to the problems we face. You know the old adage, "you're either part of the problem or part of the solution."

As I noted in my previous post, the 3 states doing the WORST in this horrible economy are ALL blue states, run by progressives. They are bankrupt because they have girlie men & progressives at the helm. These people do not know how to lead & have so many bad laws that keep the people indentured.

Your President, along with his evil minions, have made sure the "red states" have less opportunities, less federal monies, & less attention than the "blue states", & yet the red states are still generally doing better than the blue states. Your President also sues the citizens in those red states & turns them into the UN for civil rights violations, & he defers to the UN for foreign policy. That makes him a traitor. Fortunately those red states are not kow towing to your Obama's thug & tyrant tactics. I would say that your POTUS is evil to the core (or is that "corpse", lol?). He's the first POTUS to ever turn against the citizens as a matter of policy. He's by far, THE most divisive POTUS we've ever had, & people like yourself are examples of what that does to a nation.

Your POTUS has no business sense, or experience in business, & it shows. He has declared war on the country he is supposed to be leading. He is leading from behind & if left on his own, & without a teleprompter, coul...

Your POTUS has no business sense, or experience in business, & it shows. He has declared war on the country he is supposed to be leading. He is leading from behind & if left on his own, & without a teleprompter, could not find his way out of a paper bag. His VP pick, Biden, has got to be one of the worst VPs in history, or at least the dumbest, as his frequent gaffes in front of the microphone, as well as when he thinks the microphone is off, show us.

Wake up & stop bowing to your "savior", Obama [no PBUH], & stop the stinkin' thinkin' that perpetuates the myth that the government is your mama. THINK & REASON for yourself! In other words, MAN UP!! Women need heroes, not girlie men, to step up to the plate & straighten out this country for the sake of our children! We need to get the evil men out of office (progressives, liberals & RINOs), followed by the girlie men that allowed the evil men to reign in the first place.

Again, Obama [no PBUH], Reid, & Pelosi, to name a few, have declared war on America! They've declared war on the Right, the Disobedient, our Culture & Values, our Economy, our Future, on Oil, on other Energy Sources, on Business, on America's National Security, on Guns: Operation Fast & Furious, & on the Dignity of His Office!!! Let's stop the insanity!!

I would be very proud of you for re-thinking what this POTUS is doing to this country & then changing your vote before it's too late and there's no turning back.
