BREITBART.COM reports:

One of the left's sillier temper tantrums is the fight against Voter ID laws. The law simply requires that a voter present a photo ID at the polling place, as a means to verify they are who they say they are. It is almost impossible to navigate daily life without a photo ID, yet the left argues that this burden is uniquely onerous. In their worldview, a person should be able to walk into the voting place, state a name and then vote without any verification the person is, in fact, that name. Fortunately, the American people loudly disagree.

Some of the poll officials think it is a cool action, on my part.
Someone, if you do not want to see positive id at the polls, please explain.
It has been proved time and again that there is very little voter fraud that has happened but that is not what drives this. There are many people out there that have no way of obtaining an ID or have no idea about how to get one and they are the ones that are now left out. And no they are not illegals. They are american citizens that are being left behind and there are millions of them. I have been voting for six decades and this is the first time that this has been an issue.
I also seem to remember that Bush did not win the popular vote nation wide. It was given to him because of the electoral college and how that is structured across the nation.
Bring a birth cert, SScard, one other ID, all is well. ID is in hand in an hour or so.
Please understand I am in agreement that you should be able to somehow prove you are a citizen. But what I think should be done is all people who have voted before should be notified, as I was, that they are registered and where to vote and what to expect. If that is done for everyone then it's all good. Of course then there is the college student that is from out of state and they will be left out.
It is common knowledge.
There probably is not a single person over 65 in this nation who DOESN'T have some form of government assistance-so in all likelyhood, they already have ID.
The argument AGAINST ID's is strictly a red herring so that illegals can vote, and others can vote repeatedly.
One in 362 million-NOT bad odds there.
My mom is 80, uses a walker and hasn't driven for years, but she has a photo ID
