BREITBART.COM reports:
One of the left's sillier temper tantrums is the fight against Voter ID laws. The law simply requires that a voter present a photo ID at the polling place, as a means to verify they are who they say they are. It is almost impossible to navigate daily life without a photo ID, yet the left argues that this burden is uniquely onerous. In their worldview, a person should be able to walk into the voting place, state a name and then vote without any verification the person is, in fact, that name. Fortunately, the American people loudly disagree.

I have to assume that those opposed to voter I.D. Laws merely wish to abet voter fraud, and are probably Democrats. It's their favorite tactic for stealing elections and has the tacit approval of the criminal attorney general Eric Holder.

Everyone has an id... elderly people wouldn't get SSI if they didn't. And agencies make sure they have some form of ID if they didn't.

Lots of places in the greater NYC area have actual PEOPLE who will help ANYONE get an ID - they maybe able to get it at NO COST if they are eligible!

There are also many, many community service organizations, as well as church groups, veterans organizations, as well as various city, state, and feeral agencies that will help in securing a valid state ID card in NY, as well as the rest of the 49 States and Puerto Rico.

ANds besides - if they are Aalready recieveing ANY FORM of GOv't assistance - chanes are - THEY ALREADY HAVE ONE! since you have to have some sort of picture ID for most Gov't programs.

When my husband and I went to get our citizenship papers they were there signing up people to vote. later we got from the Secretary of States Office an official voter ID card with our name, precinct, Congressional District, etc. In the last election I presented that to the clerk and they would not accept it because there was no photo. That was in a city election and they did not honor the State issued voter card. I was not happy. If they wanted that then why not put a photo on the voter card in the first place?

Every country that I know of, requires Voter ID to vote.
Even Mexico requires Voter ID to vote.

Every *LIVING* Obama supporter/voter possesses the ID, necessary to vote, in order to open a ban account or collect welfare or get food stamps.
A certified death certificate would probably suffice for the dead Obama supporter/voter.

I don't know of any reason to oppose Voter ID, except that it block casting *MULTIPLE* ballots.

Same here in Georgia. It only makes sense to have to show the ID when you go to vote to prove you are the person registered.

I don't know why anyone would oppose voter ID. I show mine every time I vote. Voting is not an absolute right where just anyone can go into a polling place and vote. We have had enough fraud already with dead people voting and more people than are registered voting. It legitimizes the process.

Not really. All we need is a registration process that puts you on the voters list. Do it once and its done. It's like airport security. Register, get checked out and get your pass and go thru with no hassle.

Just yesterday I went to get my daughters birth certificate so she can start preschool in September. They didn't ask for my name, social security number or address. They asked for a photo ID to show I am who I say I am. Why is this even an issue? ID's are free. Stop trying to make voter fraud legal. There is no other reason you would vote against having to prove you are who you say you are.

I MOST CERTAINLY DO NOT. It's just a way to unlawfully deprive the poor, old, sick, disenfranchised and young, who tend to vote Democrat, of their right as Americans to vote. voter fraud has happened about 15 times in the last hundred years. this is just a way for Republicans to cheat their way into office, since they know they can't win on their policy positions. and i don't give a damn WHAT breitbart.com says.

You have to have ID to get cigarettes, and liquor, That is so much smaller than voting. I think it's irresponsible that we don't have voter ID.

The "poor, old, sick, disenfranchised and young, who tend to vote Democrat," also need positive ID to buy alcohol, get food stamps and welfare, Medicare and Medicaid.
Why *NOT* to vote, if it's to deny Democrat voters?
