A 70-year-old man in Saudi Arabia reportedly paid a $20,000 dowry to the parents of a 15-year-old girl so that he could marry her -- and human rights workers are outraged. But the man, who refused to provide his name to CNN, says that he thought the girl was 25 year old -- not 15.
The marriage was brought to public light when the man complained to a local official that he had been ripped off because his wife left him and her family had taken her back. There is currently no law in Saudi Arabia that requires a minimum age for marriage. Do you think something in the region needs to change?

Why not the Saudi's? Why not liberate those people? There is few more scumbags dictators, that torture their people and nobody cares about that!
But Islam must be stopped and make sure this does not happen here.
So all of you people that consider this as pedophilia think again, this actually might be as I thought, but then again I might also be wrong
after all, who died and made me God?
people in Saudi Arabia disagree with the way we live. should they get a say about it?
if we demand that they change how they live their lives, they have a right to dictate to us.
what's sauce for the goose . . . .
I have a better idea - let's get our noses out of the Middle East and let them keep their noses out of the US.
all in favor, say aye.
meanwhile, if you get to tell this man how to live, he has the right to do turnabout.
do you want HIM telling you to cover your head and speak to a man only when spoken to? to never be seen in public with a man who is not your husband, brother or father? those are, after all, their customs. do you want to live by them? if not, don't try to tell him that HIS following his nation's customs is illegal.
While I think there should be a minimum age, I don't think that we should mettle in everyone's culture just because we don't agree 100%.
