http news yahoo com tax penalty hit nearly 6m uninsured people 194442599 html Gee, I bet right about now Obama is laughing all the way to the bank, thinking BOY DID I SUCKER THESE PEOPLE.

This evening when I opened my subscription to Associated Press, you Liberals know the one I am talking about that one that spreads lies about Obama, what hit me in the face but this article titled TAX PENALTY TO HIT NEARLY 6m UNINSURED PEOPLE. http://news.yahoo.com/tax-penalty-hit-nearly-6m-uninsured-peo...

Everyone would tell me Obama is thinking of the middle class and wants everyone to have affordable healthcare. Well I, being a "foolish Republican", didn't fall for his line of crap.

I just love the first paragraph of this article. "WASHINGTON (AP) — Nearly 6 million Americans — significantly more than first estimated— will face a tax penalty under President Barack Obama's health overhaul for not getting insurance, congressional analysts said Wednesday. Most would be in the middle class."

Now I don't know what that penalty is going to cost the MIDDLE CLASS taxpayer, but I was told somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,500 per person. Now IF that is correct that means that Obama will be running to the bank with a total of almost $15Bn dollars... GEE, what happend to his "AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE" that he promised in 2009 or 2010.

Now, I am sure that by the time this is read by the Liberals in this group I am sure they will find some way to turn this around so that Obama will look damn good and that the evil Associated Press will be added to the FOX NEWS evil list.

I am going to love rubbing this into the noses of a many people that still think that Obama is the best thing since the discovery of air.

And while you people are at it do a google search for HR. 6079 and read it, it is only 7 pages long but it is the first step to repealing Obama's famous Heathcare. And for the record it has been passed 244 to 185.....and I am almost sure that the Senate will have much to say about this...seeing that they are controlled by the baffoon Hairy Reid.

Oops, sorry I mispelled Reid's name meant to spell it Harry.

Now just incase the Liberals are to lazy to click on the link above here is the article.

Tax penalty to hit nearly 6M uninsured people

FILE - In this March 28, 2012 file photo, supporters of health care reform rally in front of the Supreme Court in Washington on the final day of arguments regarding the health care law signed by President Barack Obama. Congressional budget analysts are now estimating that nearly 6 million Americans, most of them in the middle class, will have to pay a tax penalty for not getting health insurance once Obama's health care law is fully in place. That's 2 million more than a previous estimate found, or a 50 percent increase. Starting in 2014, the new health care law requires virtually every legal resident of the U.S. to carry health insurance, or face a tax penalty. The Supreme Court upheld Obama's law as constitutional after finding that the penalty fell within the power of Congress to impose taxes. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak, File)WASHINGTON (AP) — Nearly 6 million Americans — significantly more than first estimated— will face a tax penalty under President Barack Obama's health overhaul for not getting insurance, congressional analysts said Wednesday. Most would be in the middle class.

The new estimate amounts to an inconvenient fact for the administration, a reminder of what critics see as broken promises.

The numbers from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office are 50 percent higher than a previous projection by the same office in 2010, shortly after the law passed. The earlier estimate found 4 million people would be affected in 2016, when the penalty is fully in effect.

That's still only a sliver of the population, given that more than 150 million people currently are covered by employer plans. Nonetheless, in his first campaign for the White House, Obama pledged not to raise taxes on individuals making less than $200,000 a year and couples making less than $250,000.

And the budget office analysis found that nearly 80 percent of those who'll face the penalty would be making up to or less than five times the federal poverty level. Currently that would work out to $55,850 or less for an individual and $115,250 or less for a family of four.

Average penalty: about $1,200 in 2016.

"The bad news and broken promises from Obamacare just keep piling up," said Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, who wants to repeal the law.

Starting in 2014, virtually every legal resident of the U.S. will be required to carry health insurance or face a tax penalty, with exemptions for financial hardship, religious objections and certain other circumstances. Most people will not have to worry about the requirement since they already have coverage through employers, government programs like Medicare or by buying their own policies.

A spokeswoman for the Obama administration said 98 percent of Americans will not be affected by the tax penalty — and suggested that those who will be should face up to their civic responsibilities.

"This (analysis) doesn't change the basic fact that the individual responsibility policy will only affect people who can afford health care but choose not to buy it," said Erin Shields Britt of the Health and Human Services Department. "We're no longer going to subsidize the care of those who can afford to buy insurance but make a choice not to buy it."

The budget office said most of the increase in its estimate is due to changes in underlying projections about the economy, incorporating the effects of new federal legislation, as well as higher unemployment and lower wages.

The Supreme Court upheld Obama's law as constitutional in a 5-4 decision this summer, finding that the insurance mandate and the tax penalty enforcing it fall within the power of Congress to impose taxes. The penalty will be collected by the IRS, just like taxes.

The budget office said the penalty will raise $6.9 billion in 2016.

The new law will also provide government aid to help middle-class and low-income households afford coverage, the financial carrot that balances out the penalty.

Nonetheless, some people might still decide to remain uninsured because they object to government mandates or because they feel they would come out ahead financially even if they have to pay the penalty. Health insurance is expensive, with employer-provided family coverage averaging nearly $15,800 a year for a family and $4,300 for a single plan. Indeed, insurance industry experts say the federal penalty may be too low.

The Supreme Court also allowed individual states to opt out of a major Medicaid expansion under the law. The Obama administration says it will exempt low-income people in states that opt out from having to comply with the insurance requirement.

Many Republicans still regard the insurance mandate as unconstitutional and rue the day the Supreme Court upheld it.

However, the idea for an individual insurance requirement comes from Republican health care plans in the 1990s.

It's also a central element of the 2006 Massachusetts health care law signed by then-GOP Gov. Mitt Romney, now running against Obama and promising to repeal the federal law.

Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said Wednesday the new report is more evidence that Obama's law is a "costly disaster."

"Even more of the middle-class families who President Obama promised would see no tax increase will in fact see a massive tax increase thanks to Obamacare," she said.

Romney says insurance mandates should be up to each state. The approach seems to have worked well in Massachusetts, with virtually all residents covered and dwindling numbers opting to pay the penalty instead.

If these obama loving haven't done their math yet that's 2,500 per person so if you have 4 people in your family then multiply the 2,500 by 4.Thats a nice little penalty every year. How about those single moms out there that's having a hard time making ends meet.

All you people that have more than 4 people in your family you need to start looking a third job right now.I read some comments yesterday about insurance companies not covering pre-existing conditions. If you will take the time to read the health bill you will see there are some conditions not coverd in it and they don't have to be pre-existing.So make sure on Nov. 6 vote for what you can afford.Healthcare is not free.

Well my calculations involved that $2500 times the 6 million middle class and that comes to well over $15 billion .... sort of makes you wonder is that money going into his bank account for his vacations abroad, his retirement, or does he plan on sharing more of the wealth.
MAYBE a combination of all of the above.

They can't look ahead and see that they can't get something for nothing! They all need to go see 2016. My granddaughter was arguing for him, till I took her to the movie. I didn't make any kinds of remarks about it, did check a couple times to see if she wasn't sleeping as she wasn't reacting. On the way out to the car she turned to me and said she didn't know he was so evil and thanked me for taking her. I know she took it all in as she asked me about different things on the way home.

Bless the CBO's little hearts! Another upward adjustment in the cost of ObamaCare. The first estimate was 4M people. Now we are up to 6M people. When the bill first passed, the CBO estimated the Medicare 'savings' (and transfer of those 'savings' to other areas of the Bill) at 500 Billion. We now hear it is 716 Billion. Inflation has hit ObamaCare and the bill isn't even fully enacted!

This is just the start. Under Obamacare the uncovered will get much higher; costs will continue to climb; and quality of service will taper off. If Obamacare was any good all government personnel would be covered, including the military and elected politicians.
