63% of Americans feel that the USA is on the wrong track. That being said, why are Obama and Romney neck and neck in the polls? Your thoughts are?

Because American's have no clue WHY we are on the wrong track. The brain dead Republicans blame our troubles on the Democrats. The brain dead Democrats blame our troubles on the Republicans. American's in general do not realize that our so called two party system is corrupt to the core and are two heads of the same monster. The "public servants" are not at all interested in what we need or stemming corruption. They are in it for themselves and how they can take care of the contributors to their reelection. Nothing more.

That is why things only get worse. Is anyone out there tired of things getting worse?

Why shouldn't they be neck and neck in the polls? They have virtually the exact same stance and policies. Either one you vote for will give you the same results. Just two different faces, neither of them worth looking at twice.

Because Mitt Romney has failed to tell the people what he would do differently. He is obsessed with getting rid of Obama by any means necessary, but thus far he hasn't come up with a legit reason to do so, Or with something that is better than what President Obama is doing.

Liberals LOVE polls and flock to them.. they'll SHOVE each other out of the way just to GET to one.. If they can't FIND one they'll make one UP..

Conservatives are more secure in their choices and don't have to run around making everybody ELSE vote their way..

And let;s FACE it.. MOST polls are conducted by LIBERALS and they don't exactly seek conservatives out either..

Because our educational system has dumbbed down the populace, so that a majority of them cannot reason, cannot think, and vote on emotional agendas. The Obama campaign focuses on class warfare and division to keep their base fired with hate and jealousy so that they don't see the truth.

How true. Sodahead's own polls are skewed by the wording of the questions. I just took the quick election poll, and could not even interpret the meaning of one of the questions. Two others were so badly written that, even though I knew what I thought they were asking, it was difficult to answer without qualifying my answer.

I have no idea. I hear about these polls but damned if anyone has ever asked me. I am not sure how they even do them. Shopping malls? Random calls to people's houses? I did do a survey group one time but that got old. Drove across town to sit and be introduced to new products or asked about how I felt about the United Way. 20 bucks and a gift basket. If thats how they do it I can tell by most of the people I saw there why it wasn't accurate.

The Chicago machine is very good at diverting attention away from their actual successes/failures (can't think of any successes, but giving benefit of doubt). The majority of Americans don't really follow politics very closely, so they are easily fooled by snake oil salesmen. The only polls that matter will be on November 6, 2012. Then we will see whether or not America is capable of self governance.

Anyone who has seen enough of them learns not to put a whole lot of faith in poll numbers. Carter - Regan 1980, Bush-Gore 2000, etc. Polls showing one way up until the 11th hour....then the election goes completely different.

I am smarter then most. I work at it. I research and investigate what I hear. I don't trust mainstream news or our government who tells them what to say. And like I mentioned above I don't care what you or anyone else thinks of my intelligence or how you react to it. Simple with the majority of the news media in Obama's pocket the average American must gleam their opinions from that source (unless they do their homework on the WEB). The real truth will come out in November can the American people recover from the drastic mistake of putting a Socialist (his own words bears this out) into the White House. Leave the emotional out of the voting experience look at where the Nation is (16 Trillion in debt), a weak standing in the World and 3+ years of the worst employment numbers since the 40's. Also look at when the slide started in Jan 2007 when the Senate & House was won by the Democrats ( FULL VETO PROOF CONTROL) spending, unemployment all started to rise and the stock market started the slide.

Considering the dismal failure of the current POTUS. It's really hard to believe these polls are correct. And if they are 'correct', then they are not polls from the minds of thinking Americans. But of a deliberate and obvious ploy to keep this country divided by the media powers that be. And proof that the 'freedom of the press' is truly deceased....and has been dead for some time.

Oh I think it is the 62,500 Obama ads with 52,000 of them attacks on Romney - they do have an effect. However, I think they are beginning to back fire somewhat because the numbers are so very close - Polls will mean more in September

You need to look at why people think we are on the wrong track. If they (like me) think we are on the wrong track because of corporate influence and corruption then they might not like Obama, but are certain that Romney would be much worse.
