It's called situational awareness. One major reason why people become victimized is because they are taken by surprise. In my job, I am often dealing with large sums of cash so I have learned to be aware of things and people around me at all times.

While my preference is to avoid, or flee a potential dangerous situation, I still have backup.

It scares me that so many kids these days have no conscience nor do they hold any value for human life. These monsters are extreme but there seems to be a little of this in more than a few kids in society today. Look at the crap they think is funny in movies, people getting seriously hurt, drugged, abused physically and mentally....and yeah, that's in a comedy!

Like I said, and will say no more. If it were 6 white teens beating on a black guy, this story would be headline news. EVERY one knows that they were black kids. The police know it and so does their mother.

Not one picture, you are right on that one. But when you read the names of the attackers, and the mother that spoke out, Latasha, makes a person think they are black. More than likely they are, because you just don't see white kids having names like this, twin brothers Tyree and Terrell Mizzell, Lamont Champion and Daquan Cain, all 13-year-olds; and Michael E. James, 14. But actually the last one Michael James, without a picture, he could be white. Then the haven't said anything about the 6th kid, so we don't know about him either.

Plus it is known that the crime rate amongst all races is higher in the black communities. So it could be chance to say all of these were probably black.

We had an event like this in Philly and the victim died. Of course, we heard the typical bull, we was just funnin, this was an accident, etc. Thankfully the jury didn't buy it and they all got time( they were tried as adults)
