Not literally but I can see a certain relationship between "Let there be light" and the big bang theory.

The Bible is meant to be taken allegorically, not literally. In "Oh God" (1977), George Burns (RIP, made 100) quipped to John Denver (he's flyin' elsewhere) that when he woke up (for His day), Freud (still smokin') was still in Med School. The 'days' mentioned in Genesis may have been logarithmic (exponential) rather than arithmetic (linear).

According to Astrophysics the Earth formed about 4,53x10^9 years ago,
divide by 9 > 5.03x10^8 that would be during the Cambrian Explosion,
÷ by 9 again 5.59x10^7 ya, a few million years after End of Dinosaurs,
4th > 6.21x10^6 ya would be early Apes,
    5th > 690,000 ya, when the Yellowstone Super-Volcano last blew, 6th >
6th >76,700 ya when Toba (Indonesia) erupted reducing Humanity to 12-20,000 decimating the cheetah & other spieces as well,
7th 8,520 ya roughly the start of writing & history & just before the Mediterranian Sea flooded into the Black Sea with Mt. Ararat just south in Turkey possibly the source of Noah's Ark.
There were several floodings when the Ice Age ended ~ 11·12,000 ya, sea level rose rapidly then.
I used 9 as an arbitrary figure.
    Maybe a slightly lower mathematical figure (√½ X 100) X √2 = 8.409) might be better but I've spent enough time hand-crunching numbers.
Maybe using the Big Bang (1.373x10^10ya) as a start ...

Maybe using the Big Bang (1.373x10^10ya) as a start for instance? Life after 1st day would've been single-celled then.

The more Calculating types can 'fine tune' this, I just presented a feasable concept.

Our world is a succession of progress and evolution - and disasters, although most of us believe in God. What really counts is faith, respect for life and each other, solidarity and love, not fanatism and terror. The bible must be interpreted quite differently.

As I said above, as ALLEGORY (has a deeper meaning) à la Tao: "can't be expressed in Human terms. Like the Oracle of Delphi, has no ready answer, needs much reflection. My Belief Systems employs Freedom of Information pro & con so you can assess risks rationally, tollerance & mutual Respect & Meritocracy > you do well for others & get judged by them to get rewarded/punished.

This'll likely take a dissertation or two before I (or others after me) such a system is operational.

I believe that if there's a supreme being, it would have created the first living organism on Earth in its image. But I just can't bring myself to pray to a protozoa.

Einstein figured out RELATIVITY, not Evolution. GPS wouldn't be accurate with accounting Relativistic Time Dilation from the speed satellites (1/36,000 c.) are orbiting around the Earth & it's still officially a Theory, not a Fact like Pythagoras' x² + y² = z² for right triangles.

That's Andromeda, 2,200,000 ly away, but it wil pass close by or collide with the Milky in 5-6 billions years (Sun will be a Red Giant then). We've only know what galaxies actually are not quite a century ago, need a few more millenia before we know for sure.

Creationism is an out dated concept that I don't think should be taught to anyone as actual fact.
Saying that evolution is false is just proving how ignorant one is to facts, evidence and reasoning.
Then again, no one ever claimed that those of high religious values were ever all that intelligent.
    Intelligence vs religion

Also, where did Cain find a wife if Adam & Eve were the only Humans around? Heard one (blasphemy) source state that A&E had many other children & he married one of his sisters.
That could be one damn good reason why we're so messed up (inbred hillbillies).

I believe that it is possible to believe in both creationism and evolution. God does not work in ways that we understand or within our time constraints. God is not a micro manager. He just set the wheels in motion.

and once upon a time all people thought the world was flat oh yea, many scientists were tried for heresy for proving the earth and all other planets rotated around the sun.

and no. there is alot of evidence for evolution. but there is still large gaps in the chain of evolution. plus there is no proof of what started evolution just theory's. who's to say a supreme being didn't start it all. hell i was watching one of those ancient aliens shows the other day. and they had a interesting argument that we where genetically engineered as slaves for aliens. don't know if i buy it but it was interesting.

And yet there are more gaps in the theory of creationism, in which there is no solid evidence by guess work.
hmm.... I smell a bad argument on the horizon.

Even Intelligent Design was shot down, as for Evolution, which is like Swiss Cheese:

The Fossil Record is like a cinema film with only a few (less with age) scattered frames left. Take the development of the pelvis for example. My guess is that when an advantageous innovation or mutation occured,it spread like wildfire in the ocean worldwide or whatever landmass it originated or collided with later.

This is the part of the discussion where judgian12365 explains how humans are apes. Personally, I see the one percent genetic difference between humans and apes as significant; regardless, judgian12365's point is actually quite valid. Monkeys, apes and humans are all simians happily bouncing up and down on the same branch of the evolutionary tree.
