"Socialism is a philosophy of failure,
the creed of ignorance,
and the gospel of envy.
Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery".
- Winston Churchill

The following are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read:
Unfortunately, most voters don't know this.

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity,
by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for,
another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything
that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work
because the other half is going to take care of them.
And when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work,
because somebody else is going to get what they work for,
that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Can you think of any reason for not sharing this?

Neither could I.

Countries with a strong middle class prosper. Countries without a strong middle class don't.
Republican economic policies have destroyed much of the middle class. "Trickle Down" policies don't work, as Reagan's budget expert David Stockman now readily admits, yet Republican politicians continue to pursue such policies to this very day, as shown by the latest Paul Ryan budget proposal. How much more damage do Republican politicians need to do for people to begin to realize how terrible Republican policies are for our country?

Under Democrtic economic policies, the middle class grew, and became wealthier. Ever since Reaganomics took over, the middle class has been shrinking and growing poorer. THe wealth of the top 1% tripled during the Bush2 presidency, while the wealth of the middle class went down. What you believe is not consistent with reality.

We are recovering, slowly. The damage was done over many years prior to President Obama taking office.

Hedge funds own 80% of the oil we will be buying over the next year. Blame them. President Obama can do nothing about the price of oil.

Wow....you don't get it do you.

The date was two days after his inauguration and he is looking at the mess he was left with.

I hate having to explain even the most simple concepts to CONs.

no if that were true he would have said my work is just beginning - you cannot tell me that the economy is better now than when he took over (actually the democrats took over in 2007 hence the decline before obama got his meddling fingers in everything) if you stop looking at thye leftist spin and actually ask people in the street if it is better now you will get a resounding NO - as I said the truth never changes

it is YOU who dont get it

Yes, you're right....currently, after four straight quarters of GDP declines, a loss of 750,000 jobs per month, the DOW in the 7000s and moving downward, and a total net loss of jobs since he took over as President - the first time since the Great Depression, the President has a lot for which to answer.

    Oooops, sorry....that was Bush.

Yes, the economy is one hell of a lot better than it was in January 2009. We have had a total increase of private sector jobs of 1.35 million enough to offset the 600,000 public sector employees having been dismissed by Republican governors, the Dow is up 61%, ten straight months of job growth, ten straight months of GDP growth....

...yes, it is one hell of a lot better than it was. The only people who say it is not are the uninformed, the misinformed and the stupid.

well inform my customers - they still think they dont have the money to buy my products and everyone I know has the same story - it would be nice if you were right but you arent - still listening to the leftist spin - here in america we are feeling the crunch of obamas policies
  • justfred ImageBa... 2012/04/02 15:27:19

No, you are still feeling the crunch of Reagan/Bush policies. The areas of this country who bought into the CON lies are not doing as well as the rest of us.

not true - we were getting better in 07 when the democrats took over the congress and messed it up. gas prices were dropping and now I have to pay 4.09 a gallon that is not bushs fault - that is a direct result of obamas failed policies - he again stopped americans from drilling in the atlantic and allowing russians and everyone else to drill here - I just cant understand why you are so damn stupid.
  • justfred ImageBa... 2012/04/02 23:53:41 (edited)

One of us is stupid. The other is me.

You're right...$4.09/gallon is not Bush's fault...and the $4.18/gallon you paid in June 2008 ( http://news.consumerreports.o... ) wasn't his fault, either - - well, not personally. Why even Faux News said back then that the President didn't have anything to do with gas prices http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

I wonder why Faux News is blaming Obama, now?

By the way, domestic production is up over 350% since Bush took office, so try to find some other thing for which to blame Obama, because we are drilling and producing more crude now than when he was elected.

it could be that we are talking different locales - in 2008 I remember what I spent on gas I travlled all over in a box van - and I know what I spent today - I dont need any reports thata re fudged to make obama look good - I have the truth and gas is a dollar higher at my corner station than it was in 2008

things are worse now than then and it is directly related to your foolish president

statistics lie - all I know is what I see and things around here and in other places I know about are really sucky now and if you try to compare bush to obama - how do you tell the difference? obama has just become "bush lite"

Even under Communism there are the haves and the have not The party leaders and everyone else.. The Party leaders take from the top and every one else gets what is left over. We are heading that direction. The Government now holds stock in Companies and in Banks.
