"Socialism is a philosophy of failure,
the creed of ignorance,
and the gospel of envy.
Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery".
- Winston Churchill
The following are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read:
Unfortunately, most voters don't know this.
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity,
by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for,
another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything
that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work
because the other half is going to take care of them.
And when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work,
because somebody else is going to get what they work for,
that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
Can you think of any reason for not sharing this?
Neither could I.

Republican economic policies have destroyed much of the middle class. "Trickle Down" policies don't work, as Reagan's budget expert David Stockman now readily admits, yet Republican politicians continue to pursue such policies to this very day, as shown by the latest Paul Ryan budget proposal. How much more damage do Republican politicians need to do for people to begin to realize how terrible Republican policies are for our country?
The date was two days after his inauguration and he is looking at the mess he was left with.
I hate having to explain even the most simple concepts to CONs.
it is YOU who dont get it
Oooops, sorry....that was Bush.
Yes, the economy is one hell of a lot better than it was in January 2009. We have had a total increase of private sector jobs of 1.35 million enough to offset the 600,000 public sector employees having been dismissed by Republican governors, the Dow is up 61%, ten straight months of job growth, ten straight months of GDP growth....
...yes, it is one hell of a lot better than it was. The only people who say it is not are the uninformed, the misinformed and the stupid.
You're right...$4.09/gallon is not Bush's fault...and the $4.18/gallon you paid in June 2008 ( http://news.consumerreports.o... ) wasn't his fault, either - - well, not personally. Why even Faux News said back then that the President didn't have anything to do with gas prices http://www.youtube.com/watch?...
I wonder why Faux News is blaming Obama, now?
By the way, domestic production is up over 350% since Bush took office, so try to find some other thing for which to blame Obama, because we are drilling and producing more crude now than when he was elected.
I don't think either of us is a liar...I think you are misinformed and probably a bit developmentally challenged.
things are worse now than then and it is directly related to your foolish president
