16,500 New IRS Agents Will Be Needed to Enforce Obamacare

The Democrat’s rationed health care system would cause the greatest expansion of the IRS since World War II.
The Washington Examiner reported:

New tax mandates and penalties included in Obamacare will cause the greatest expansion of the Internal Revenue Service since World War II, according to a release from Rep. Kevin Brady, R-Texas.

A new analysis by the Joint Economic Committee and the House Ways & Means Committee minority staff estimates up to 16,500 new IRS personnel will be needed to collect, examine and audit new tax information mandated on families and small businesses in the ‘reconciliation’ bill being taken up by the U.S. House of Representatives this weekend. …

Scores of new federal mandates and fifteen different tax increases totaling $400 billion are imposed under the Democratic House bill. In addition to more complicated tax returns, families and small businesses will be forced to reveal further tax information to the IRS, provide proof of ‘government approved’ health care and submit detailed sales information to comply with new excise taxes.

Americans for Tax Reform has a good breakdown of the bill by the numbers.

Americans for Tax Reform today released the following “By the Numbers” breakdown of ObamaCare:

The number of new tax increases in the healthcare bill: 19

The number of tax increases that unquestionably violate President Obama’s “firm pledge” not to raise “any form” of taxes on families making less than $250,000: 7

The tax increase over the first decade if the healthcare bill becomes law: $497 billion

The top federal tax rate on wages and self-employment earnings under this bill: 43.4%

The annual tax hike for every man, woman, and child in America: $165

The top federal tax rate on early distributions from HSAs under this bill: 59.6%

The most parents of special-needs kids can save tax-free for tuition in FSAs (currently, the amount is unlimited): $2500

These are just the jobs created to enforce the collection of new taxes, how many new jobs will be created to write and administer the new tax laws?

They put the IRS in charge of this to be able to fine your tax returns if you don't pay for the insurance. I can't believe this has passed.....Lord help us.

The best income producing arm of the government is the IRS. Each dollar spent on the salary of one of its employees brings back thousands. The hiring of 16,500 new agents will pump billions into the vaults of the treasury department. They will hunt down deadbeats who expect to use the resources of the nation for free.

I hope they audit you first. Just remember you are guilty until you prove you're innocent in the eyes of the IRS. So much for not raising taxes on people making under $250K a year and the constitution.

"read my lips, no new taxes." Correct me if I'm wrong, but that didn't work out too good for the President who said that.
We can only hope the same outcome will happen to the current administration.
    4 and out.

Yep, because we are about to be raped. President Soetoro is going to take all your money, and give it to the insurance companies; so they can contribute a large majority back to his 2012 campaign.

This is what Soetorocare is all about.

Why do we have a President with an alias... and the state owned media doesn't question it?

Great post, ripped! Not only will 16,500 new IRS agents be hired, with authority to have direct access to your bank account, at least a dozen new federal bureaucracies will be created, with an estimated 150,000 new federal employees! Is there any SodaHead on this site who is so stupid as to believe that this will make the administration of health care more efficient??? The only "savings", if any, will come from denying care and treatment !

Oh boy here we go! Police State at your front door steps. This is going to get ugly!

The horror that is sometimes over looked on this issue is : How long will this work until those in W.D.C. borrow from this bill for stupid things like Empire building and funding back door projects?

Just remember, medicaid, medicare, social security, united states postal service - all going down the tubes. USPS wants to cut Saturday delivery to cut back on costs.

Only 30 million people get covered under this bill. - Uhm what! that's it!?
(Needless to say there is 64 million people in this country that are starving and are lucky to have grub worms for dinner. So what about the other half of the 64 million the 34 million? We let them starve and go with out?)

    Something is awry here people!

Health care for everyone my left foot!
