Those poor people! I can't imagine what they are going through right now. I know I couldn't live in an area that is prone to tornadoes. I don't know how they do it.

I have friends that live in Oklahoma who had a tornado touch down within a mile of their house day before yesterday. It was the second one in a year.

Growing up around tornadoes in Illinois. I can feel their pain. I pray that people can get to a shelter. I get scared fro here when I hear about tornadoes. I pray for the victims there.
    Bless you all.

98 of those were in Kansas, one went through our farm. Very little damage, none of the main structures were damaged and what was damaged I can easily repair.

Wonder if The TIV and The Dominator was there?

Just went to TVN and The Dominator got an intercept.

I'm lucky I missed the bad part of the storms driving cross-country, I only saw some lighting in Oklahoma, then it was cloudy Intel I ran into some rain in Iowa.

Two things are infinite. The Universe and Human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former - Einstein.

Why...WHY do you people insist on living in a place that routinely gets trashed by Tornado's?

    Edit

I'd live there...but only if I had 10ft of soil on top of the house >_> (underground)

Very extreme weather we are having this year. A tornado touch down in Michigan this year--very unusual. I'd expect it in Texas but here--wth?

O_o you serious? That far up?

That said we get tornado's in the UK but they barely knock chimneys off.

Consider yourself lucky. Tornado storms are downright scary. Sounds like a freight train coming through.

Yeah, heard about the one touching down in Michigan. Not where I'm at (locality) but state wise, it did. Weird.

XD We don't get many earthquakes either and even I think the largest we've had is 3.6 >.<

Probably south west but yeah, definitely weird.

Earthquakes don't scare me as much. Probably because I grew up around them. I was in California when the big one hit San Francisco--three hours south of it and still--my chandeliers were swinging back and forth, the water in my pool was lapping out of the sides and the ground was shaking. Been through many earthquakes--more than tornados.

Hi Prettie, I'm in New England and we avoided snow and permafrost this year more than i can remember. No plowing this year! makes you think, very un-natural. Happy to hear you avoided the worst.

The fact that so few have died should tell you something about God's power. He could have allowed much more to leave us. We had 16 or more tornadoes here in North Texas almost two weeks ago, and not one life was lost. That is a miracle!

O.o I think it's human ingenuity. A few years back he sent one that killed lots of people.

Pray to god that he never ever sends another. Lets see if he'll answer that prayer.

i live in kansas, they warned everyone 24 hours in advance in texas, oklahoma, and kansas that "life threatening" storms were gonna hit all day saturday, saturday night (they really made sure people knew this), and sunday morning so no one was caught off guard by any of this. i think they wanted to avoid another joplin, our area didn't really get touched soo i'm lucky

The lack of hurricanes keep the shallow Gulf waters warmer forming more hot updraft cloud formation causing these tornadoes. The warm water off the coast of TX and LA draw warmer water vapor to the plains while west of Africa where hurricanes begin is cooler water.

warmer water vapor plains west africa hurricanes begin cooler water

Tornado formation requires warm updraft air. Therefore more tornadoes = more warm updraft air. Imagine that.

Very terrifying, been in one once and it was no fun, woke up to my neighbors chimney fall down on the roof of my bead room. Later saw giant oak trees that had been around for 100's of years split in two at the trunk. God bless those folk and pray no one is dead Property can be replaced lives can't. God Bless all
