The fact is the Presidency is a distraction for those small minds that cant focus on more than one thing. Try professional wrestling it requires the same amount of brain cells to watch but has the addition of athleticism that the Washington dance troop cant match.

It's all about politicians, all this bitching about the wealthy, one fact remains. If you were to "follow the money"; as the saying goes, you would end up in Washington, DC.

The greed and scandalous behavior of some in the business world cannot be accomplished without the knowledge, support, and a wink n' nod of powerful politicians who are in the position to regulate such activity.

The answer to this is not Socialism, Communism, Revolution; it isn't with Democratic Party or the Republican Party. The answer, in my opinion anyway; is ridding ourselves of the professional politicians who will go to great lengths to stay in power. Their arrogance knows no bounds and their ethics are nonexistent.

There are some good one to be sure, but they are the exception and not the rule

Actually I am not caught up in MSM as evidenced by my post. However what was your first response "OBAMA" ... Where did Obama appear in the article? Where did Obama get mentioned in CEO compensation? Where did Obama's salary get highlighted or have ANYTHING to do with the subject matter other than YOUR response?

Follow the money. Politicians are nothing but paid whores, they come and go based on whether they play along with the monied elite. As my former Congressman was famous for saying "If you want to get my attention, higher a lobbiest". Politicians are easily swayed by the biggest donor ... focusing on them is like watching paint dry. They can be against it until the money is right then they can be for it. They make a lot of speeches about outrage and citizens but in the end nothing is done that money doesnt want done.

They didn't have a profit problem 30 years ago, when many more regulations were in place.

actually they did ... but they operate on a much longer timeline in which a gradual dilution eventually gives way to a free for all.

Plus many of the greediest stock holders don't consider profit, profit if the current profits don't trump the previous quarters profits.

I used to manage a Sports Authority, and the abuse some of us would endure when we didn't exponentially raise profit, used to confuse the crap out of me. God Forbid any of us suggested competitive pricing options.

Look at eBay Meg Whitman, HP Carly Fiorni and Bain Capital Mitt ... the methods are all the same ... increase profit or stock prices by the first thing, LAYOFF 25,000 employees and make it lean. Then with the money saved from labor do a share buyback which increases share prices ...

The last thing anyone would want to do is increase the cost to the consumer. What was it, 2009 when producers held back cost increases as long as they could so the consumer wouldnt feel the input costs that they were getting. Freakin amazing.

I saw this documentary on Wal-mart and I learned just how much misery they inflict on people to keep those roll back prices so low. I always knew Wal-mart sucked, but I never knew just how much. After watching that I refuse to shop there, B.J.'s or Costco.

Costco is a wholesale outfit and they are union.

At least their workers have job security.

and benefits, paid holidays, pensions .... you know all those pesky little things that the anti-union crowd wants to unburden the giant multinationals from.

The anti-union crowd wants to kill all that, but I'm not sure they completely understand what the alternative is. Pensions, Paid Holiday's, benefits, Raises etc. are all important to worker morale, but in this economy if a person isn't sure if their job will always be there they may less likely to buy, rent, & lease things.

Historically it has been the corporates that higher the thugs, but you cant tell them that.

Funny thing is they can't seem to grasp the concept of a group of co-workers getting together to ensure that they have job security and are treated fairly. This coming from a group of people who get elected to Congress and expect to be their until the day they die. That's the one thing I like about the Tea party, they're shattering that assumption.
On the other hand, maybe they assume that we'll be under Chinese rule one day, so they may as well try and get us used to the working conditions now.

now there is the ultimate end ... when all the world labor class works at the same level. Guess which direction the American working class is headed.
