The only danger is to him and if he were to die what a way to go.HURRAH FOR HIM!!
I am a 71 year old motorcyclist and many friends and family worry about me getting killed in an accident. My risk is minimal because of my 55 years of experience and I tell them If I do get killed at least I died doing something I love. My life would be much smaller without a motorcycle in it and the risk is worth taking for me.

We were pretty impressed when we heard a couple had gotten married at the finish line of the Amica Newport Marathon in Rhode Island on Sunday. But 500 miles away at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in Toronto, Fauja Singh put their little gimmick to shame. The man completed his 26 miles in less than 8.5 hours -- and he's 100 years old.

This remarkable man from London began running just 11 short years ago when his wife and son passed away. He attempted his first marathon soon after, at the age of 89, and completed it in about 6 hours and 41 minutes, and his best time was under 5 hours when he was 94. The Guardian says he ran a total of eight marathons, while The Post Game (which also had his times) reports 10 total.
Whatever the case, this year's marathon was enough to land Singh in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest person to complete a marathon. We would suggest someone should write about about him, but The Guardian reports a biography has already been written. In 2004, he even got to join David Beckham and Muhammad Ali as a spokesperson for the Adidas "Impossible Is Nothing" campaign.
So the next time someone calls you an "old man," just remember Fauja Singh and smile.

An inspiration to all who see getting older as a horrible thing..
He teaches us that we are only as old as we feel and act.
I'd rather go out with a heart attack running a marathon, than sitting in a rocking chair, alone, waiting for death to come!
Long live Fauja Singh, and may he enjoy the time he has.....
turban = muslim.
Turban = Sikh
It's part of their dress code.

Give the guy his due credit, it beats the crap out of sitting in a rest home waiting to die.
In short...WOW.
even if he drops dead in the middle of the race, we should show him the respect of letting him die doing something that he is passionate about
A marathon is dangerous for just about anyone and especially so for the elderly. But the point of his story is his determination.
Relay u r great......
