10-Year-Old Boys Could Spend 40 Years In Jail

in england they would send them on holiday.....they should be punished severely but 40 years seems extreme

talk about kids going psycho now in days.

I just don't know. They can't be allowed to roam the streets. These kids are really sick. They shouldn't be in a school system where they can hurt other children.
I just don't know what our society can do to contain kids like this. Possibly they could go into separate Juvenile facilities, but what about the rest of the kids there?
These kids need lots of therapy and to never ever be left unsupervised.

They should face a fair sentencing............did they rape, did they have a gun or something else..............there violence is not acceptable, no matter what disabilities they have.

I think a severe punishment is called for but not 40 years. Perhaps 10 years in a juvenile detention facility accompanied by INTENSE therapy and restitution to the victim when they are old enough to work.

Kind of makes you wonder how they knew to do that and the bigger question, WHY?

Where did they learn this stuff from?????

It has nothing to do with "god out of schools" or "teach rampant perversion as normal" BOTH are illogical assumptions.

What has happened is that parents have NOT taught their children common manners and respect for others. The "rampant perversion" that IS taking place is that parents are teaching their children to be prejudiced, bigoted and hateful.

In 1949 a little 58 second song was placed in a blockbuster movie called South Pacific. It showed then just how evil prejudice, bigotry and hate is taught. "You've Got To Be Carefully Taught"

That's sick, those boys probably didn't even realise what they were doing in the first place. They should get some sort of punishment, but more like in the form of education. Putting children behind bars until they're old is damn sick.

One question needs to be asked. Did these boys learn about homosexual acts as part of the school's sex ed?

40 years for 10 year olds is a little harsh im sorry they are kids to yes they should be punished maby sent to a juvenile detention center for a period of time but not years not 40 years?! and not to be gross but how much sexually can a ten year old really do haha

it 40 years each....id say at the most a few years theres are kids who are like 5th graders they are children as well it almost makes you even wonder if something happened to them and they are just doing the same thing its sad that boy is a victim yes but DD let me ask you something are you a mother? what if you found out your 10 year old son did this and could be taken away from you for 40 years or 10 years even 5 ish harsh to me these are children and as a mother would you wanna see two boys taken away from there parents for the rest of there childhood

I wouldn't want to see it happen to my child. I have to say, I think I raised mine better. Kids will disobey but this is a serious criminal act. This is a violent sexual assault. What decently raised 5th grader does that??? The mother is gonna pay the consequences with her son.

They are being charged with aggravated sexual assault of a special needs boy? Or are they all special needs? You can't put a 10 year old special needs kid in prison :/

40 years for a ten yo is a bit harsh, even if it was sexual assault. Maybe they were "experimenting in an aggressive manner".

I think the boy needs to be in a psychiatric facility - not prison.

Just left the story of the teen killing a 9yr old so she could "Know what it felt like to kill"

WTF? When I was 10-years-old I was playing tag, waiting for my letter to Hogwarts, playing with my Barbie dolls, getting excited whenever I heard the ice cream truck, etc.
These 10-year-olds are sexually assaulting people? There is something seriously wrong going on here.

40 years is way too much BUT something has to be done to/for/with these 10-year-olds to teach them to be respectful of their fellow humans ... maybe make 'em live with the kind of people they THINK they were giving a bad time would teach them something about respect ...

I think the kid that was raped thought what he got was harsh.
