In the wake of the Arab Spring, the Obama administration is grappling with how to handle Islamists, radical adherents to Islam. Particularly, the issue has come to the fore in regards to Egypt, which, as Reuel Marc Gerecht notes, "is now certain" to elect "an Islamist" as its leaders the next time the Egyptian people go to the polls.
But some in the Obama administration are now seeing things differently.
"The war on terror is over," a senior official in the State Department official tells the National Journal. "Now that we have killed most of al Qaida, now that people have come to see legitimate means of expression, people who once might have gone into al Qaida see an opportunity for a legitimate Islamism."
This new outlook has, in the words of the National Journal, come from a belief among administration officials that "It is no longer the case, in other words, that every Islamist is seen as a potential accessory to terrorists."

They are jumping the gun on their utopia statism before it actually happens. In more direct words... Joe wilson said it best:
As for Arab Spring, they were far more intelligent than the Obama administration was. They knew to let us do the heavy lifting by toppling THEIR opposition with OUR assets, at which time, they rode in to town on our coattails, setting up shop and winding their tentacles and injecting their ilk in to contention for political positions which would benefit the Brotherhood. They have used Obama to help consolidate them in Libya and Egypt, and they're going to do it again in Syria. It's a matter of time. The only thing that has NOT happened, is that, Obama seems to have smartened up some little bit as I'm not seeing that he's green lit any form of support with Syria.
Bottom line is that while Mubarak and Gadhafi were tyrants or loon's, they were a barrier for us against those like the Brotherhood and ignorant idiots rejoiced when the two were brought down. Suddenly,...

Bottom line.....you can't do anything about those elected or coerced in to voting for the Brotherhood. We will only be able to deal with the problems presented once they begin to arise. Time will tell what those will be.
