About Me
46 happily married mom of 2 in your average house with your average car in your average neighborhood struggling like everybody else but manage to find ways to appreciate the little things in life: I have fallen ill to the point my career in medical administration was cut short so I can't sweat the small stuff anymore since I am on SS as of 09/08. It's the little things now that I find simple pleasures in:
Dinner at my favorite restaurant on my anniversary
A cup of cappucino and a piece of tiramisu to go with it
A glass of fine wine and the company of friends and family
Quiet time with my AWESOME husband
Seeing my kids getting smarter everyday
A warm, sunny day and my favorite suntan lotion
The days when I am NOT tired or in pain

Since 9/11 this country has never been the same and there is no debating that. The shooting at Ft. Hood has upped the ante on fear turning into full-blown hatred towards a race of people due to the acts of severely disturbed extremists. The loss of American lives makes me angry too, very angry but we have to remember we are AMERICANS FIRST and as Americans, we need to remain rational, thinking people.
Edit to finish: If we resort to attacking, persecuting or wanting to kill everyone who "might be a terrorist" just because they are Muslim or in this case, look like one, our own people are becoming the terrorists they despise. (more) -

It is a race against time for Americans losing their savings, 401K's and even their homes because of medical expenses. There is no excuse for this in a country as great as ours.
President Obama is absolutely right and his promise of healthcare reform is one of many reasons I voted for him and the congressmen I have voted for past and present.

+4 raves I think it is so sad when push comes to shove our leaders are ultimately controlled by the almigh... I think it is so sad when push comes to shove our leaders are ultimately controlled by the almighty dollar and how it influences their actual decisions which most of the time, do NOT represent the people who voted for them. Like with this healthcare bill, the big bucks going to our representatives and senators from the insurance industry and Big Pharma IS the entity pulling their strings.
It was the same B/S during the previous administration and how much Big Oil controlled the decisions made by Dubya since they were the biggest backers of his campaign which is why he repealed the environmental laws Clinton put in place in accordance with the Clean Air Act to control emissions from factories and coal plants, cars, etc. He knocked down those restrictions so these companies could pollute at will because it is cheaper for them to do that and when they make money, the government people they support make money-lots of money.
I really would like to get rid of these people so our leaders can stick to the issues they were voted on and not "sell out" to the special interest groups. (more) -
