Tattoos are made by inserting indelible ink into the skin to change its pigment color. Tattoos serve as rites of passage, marks of status and rank, symbols of religious and spiritual devotion, decorations for bravery, sexual lures and marks of fertility, pledges of love, punishment, amulets and talismans, protection, and as the marks of outcasts, slaves and convicts. Tattoos are forbidden in Judaism based on the Torah (Leviticus 19:28): "You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves: I am the Lord."

I'm really wanting a tattoo before I graduate from high school. And knowing me its going to end up being a half sleeve on the shoulder area of my arm going down ;o Should I go for it or wait until I'm out and about , fending for myself after graduating...
