Prodege, LLC— parent company of the largest online rewards site, Swagbucks — today announces the launch of a new gift card website, MyGiftCardsPlus.com. Just in time for the holidays, the new site will give consumers, especially Swagbucks’ 17 million existing members, a more rewarding way to buy gift cards for gifting and personal use on everyday purchases.
For the first time, consumers can earn rewards points on purchases of gift cards to over 100 retailers and quick service restaurants, including eBay, Toys”R”Us, Sears, The Home Depot, Sephora, Gap, Domino’s Pizza and more. The rewards points are awarded in the form of Swagbucks’ valuable rewards currency called SB, which are redeemable for additional gift cards at Swagbucks.com.
Having issued over $100 million in gift cards to its members, Swagbucks has witnessed first-hand the rapidly changing consumer behavior in the $160 billion gift card market. Nearly 100% of Swagbucks members use their gift card rewards for planned everyday purchases, and 75% of our members plan to purchase gift cards for holiday gifting this year.
“The ability to provide shoppers with rewards on gift cards from leading brands addresses this exciting change in consumer behavior,” said Chuck Davis, CEO of Prodege/Swagbucks. “In addition, MyGiftCardsPlus is a perfect business extension for Prodege, particularly given our installed base of millions of Swagbucks members who redeem their SB rewards for 250,000 gift cards every month. We know our members love gift cards, and now they can earn valuable rewards with each purchase.”
