New college graduates are just as likely to buy the latest model cellphone as to move out of their parents’ house.

That’s according to a recent survey from Swagbucks.com consumer rewards website of Los Angeles-based Prodege LLC.

Of 1,023 adults polled about their first purchases after entering the workforce, 30% of those 35 and older said moving out on their own was their top priority. But among younger respondents, only 17% prioritized leaving their childhood homes. About the same percentage, 18%, bought their own cellphone plans, while just more than one third of all respondents bought a car.
